Great list! I found KonMari in 2014.. which led me to you.. and then Bullet Journaling.. KonMari for my chaos haha.. and more youtubers.. and then Dave Ramsey which COMPLETELY changed everything! KonMari for my finances.. so grateful .. I'm almost debt free ♡ And yes, I uninstalled Instagram (I had it for my art group but it linked to my Facebook somehow.. I had 300+ followers and never uploaded one single pic! What were they following?! I couldn't take the selfies all day, it's just not my thing, I don't get the concept)
Books that changed my life: 1. Mindset (Carol Dweck) 2. The subtle art of not giving a f*ck (Mark Manson) 3. The power of vulnerability (Brene Brown) 4. How to stop worrying and start living (Dale Carnegie) 5. The lifechanging magic of tyding up (Marie Kondo) Love non-fiction books 💓
I just read Cal Newport's newest book Digital Minimalism and it was absolutely incredible! Completely changed my perspective on social media and how we use it, I really want to read Deep Work too!
I was one hundred percent sure you would mention "The life changing magic of tidying up by Marie Kondo" I absolutely love your videos..Thank you so much.. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
*omg i am living for this video!* 🌞 all of these books are so inspirational! i think i actually suggested this video a few weeks back, so yay 😍 and yes, i agree - the life changing magix of tidying up is indeed life changing! in so many aspects of your life! THANK YOU MICHELLE ❤
I love your channel and your content. So much amazing advice and motivation. I remember reading the Marie Kondo book in Japanese before it was translated into English, and it really struck a chord with me too about so many aspects of my life. I will definitely pick your recommendations up on Amazon!
Great video Michelle, thank you! I have already been following your videos so thank you for making a full video about only books, it is good to get a reminder of what to read. I have a list of books on my mind and used audible to listen to them :) The last one was You are a badass by Jen Sincero, it was great!
Despite being almost twice your age I just love your videos and I am reading a few of book recommendations in the previous video! Keep up the great work!
I'm glad that the book I've suggested (The Gift Of Imperfection) in the early month of book club for babes has helped you Michelle. I wasn't sure if it would be a well-received book because it has less actionable items, but I'm glad you've found ways to practice self-compassion! Maybe I'll re-read the book again :) (I miss book club for babes btw)
oh my I read Brene Brown's Gifts of Imperfection over a few quiet Christmas shifts in the lil vegan shop I worked in a few years ago! What you say about veering off the path and having to get back on it is *so* true. I always find myself coming back to that book and the concepts she presents in it. As a life long perfectionist who's constantly waaay too hard on herself, that book was mind blowing. I still use the meditations and resources by Dr Kristin Neff she recommends. Thank you for including it!
The 12 week year and GTD have been life changers for me too. Neither are the easiest books to read, the 12 week year feels a bit repetitive and geared towards corporate types, but the concepts can be implemented in any one's life. I get so much more done by 12 week planning, honestly, I couldn't recommend it enough. I do a version of GTD but it's evolved from and into my own system, all in Trello, which basically stores and organises my entire life. I'm really interested in reading Deep Work after hearing you talk about it so much, I'm going to stick it on my April read list :D (Edit: Turns out I'd already bought the audio book!)
The timing of this video couldn't have been more perfect for me! I was literally was just thinking today that I wanted to read a new personal growth type book but it is so hard to know which ones are good! Will definitely start with these! Thanks so much babe 💕
I've just started to look more critically at my social media usage. I am on Instagram for an hour a day, and I've deleted my Facebook app off of my phone about two months ago. I just sometimes check when I get tagged through an incoming email. Great video. I will read more.
First time comment, long time subscriber here. Just wanted to give you a virtual hug and high five for deleting your FB. WELL DONE!! SERIOUSLY!! I deleted mine a few years back and OMG! My life is soooooo much better now. Not comparing myself to others, no fomo, and a metric ton of free time I didn't know I had are just a few benefits. I'm actually writing my book with all that free time (life long dream of mine). Take care pretty lady, absolutely love your content! XOXO
I just finished reading Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss and The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. 💕✨ I highly recommend both. Cheers and greetings from Sunny SoCal! 🌴☀️
We need a video on VISION SETTING! I'm working on this right now and feel so overwhelmed. Like I know what I want, but at the same time it's so hard to set them as "concrete" - idk. Also, would LOVE the inspo (bc it's always the best!) xx
Hi :-) really love your content! Thank you! One thing that really prompt me to comment is about Social Media. If you want to promote your content there, how do you justify to yourself that you don’t use it? I’m very curious about your response and hope to start a conversation in regards to this topic :-) Best wishes, Ira
The life changing magic of tidying up changed my life too. I have more clarity on what's important in life, I'm friendly and sustainable to the planet and I've saved a lot of money on not filling my life with vacuous possessions that didn't really make me happy!!!
Could you do a video on what apps you have? Every time you talk about an app, it’s always something I end up downloading because it’s so useful, something I needed, etc and I’d love to know what else you’ve got on your phone!!
Hey lovely, I’d be really interested in a video on what a sample 12 week year looks like for you & how you’ve applied the principles discussed in the book. Thank you so much for your valuable content x
