Great video as always! To me this looks like a relay tank to irrigate so that the deep well pump is not running all the time (it can be used to maintain a lower pressure to irrigate with irrigation tape), and the previous owners must have had plans to have a pressure tank pump setup in that house since that's the way I have it in my house, they had everything prepared with that cross brass fitting to connect the pump there, (maybe to use in the house and back garden???) ! looks to me like a project that was never finished by the old owners, but that pump house looks to be really well built! Keep up the good work guys! :)
Yeah for sure it will be super useful to us! We're going to keep it almost as it is and use one pipe to irritate the bottom field and one to irrigate the field where the horses will live and maybe send the overflow to a little pond. There used to be a vineyard in the biggest field so they must have sent water there at some point. It's nice that al the fittings seem to work. The next task will be to see if I can get the bore hole working as the wiring has been damaged and see if the water storage tank holds water ☺️☺️☺️
About the vineyard if it was an old vineyard here in Portugal those were never irrigated, I have bout 2acres planted by my grandfather in the 70's and never got irrigated, about the bore hole looks only messed up on the outside? I had to take mine out a few years back because of a messed up fitting next to the pump and it was quite an adventure! if the tank doesn't hold water what I did in an old tank was to paint it with liquid membrane it works like a charm! Good luck! 😄
Ahhh nice if it doesn't hold water I'll definitely be asking for a picture of the product. I will send you a message on insta too as you may know about the capacity that are used and the wiring has broke and don't want to rewire it wrong. The picture may explain better. Thanks for all this advice though your an absolute legend 😊🙏✨
You are right I've invested now in 2 types of safety glasses, some ear defenders, a respirator and some quality thick gloves, your right an injury can send you back and make things twice as hard. Really appreciate the advice also love the picture, red pandas are so cool ☺️☺️☺️
Adorei conhece-los sao muito simpaticos desejo que se sintam bem em Portugal . Fizeram uma cerca fantástica tambem gostei da sua quinta. I wish you a very happy new year 2024 God bless you both 🙏🏼 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I wish you a very very very Happy New Year full of health, peace and joy and looking forward to your next videos and watching the progress on your land. Greetings from a Portuguese, Lisbon. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Happy new year to you too! We love Lisbon we have family there, I bet it's going to be amazing there tonight. Lots of ginginha being drunk in Lisbon tonight haha 🥳☺️☺️☺️
Ahhh I'll try that next time the video I watched on RU-vid said it works going above it too. At least I got in hahha thanks for the advice though ALWAYS appreciated 👍☺️☺️
I know finances are tight, but there is absolutely no point in spending your money on junk tools. You are always going to need tools like a drill or saw, or strimmer. Invest in quality equipment which will meet all your needs. You will need less of them, they will be reliable, and you save time and money in constantly going to Brico Marche.
So so true we won't be making that mistake again when we get tools now I think we will opt for Stihl or husqvarna like you said they will pass the test of time and for smaller tools do some research first and see what the locals are using. Thanks for much for the advice ☺️☺️☺️
Yes I didn't realise brico was a franchise. I think from now on we will get Stihl equipment and good quality hand tools even if it takes longer to save for them ☺️🎊
You did it. It's a bit weird having a room for 2 taps, must have been planning on a pump, or had one before. You at least have water going towards the loo, that means that there might still be a septic tank.👍
A bit of luck and a bit of brute force ha. yeah very weird that room just for 2 taps..... if I can fix the door as its currently not quite on its hinges (I wonder why) maybe we can use it to store all the gardening tools perhaps like rakes and things I'm not sure, let me know what you would do with it. regarding septic tank....... I want to tell you but I don't want to ruin the surprise just finished the video now. If I don't catch you beforehand have a great New Years!!!!
Haha I know I can't wait, I think cow shed first so we have somewhere dry to store things and work from them barn..... Which will be so good I need to do a tour to show the size of it, it could be so nice and then house I think but I'm the meantime get a roof on barn and house so they don't rot too much ☺️👍👍👍 appreciate the comment 🙏
Thinking of your health and well being--as old people are prone to do...and I want to warn you! If you Start, START to respond so quickly to our messages, you will.....(might) get worn out, quickly. You have so much work to do, you may begin to see this responsibility as another job. Reading and writing can be a chore. Careful now, dear.
Haha yes I can see how it can get a lot of work eventually, I usually set some time aside everyday so between 8am - 6pm I'll be working on the land and then maybe once I've finished for the day I will respond..... Still can't believe so many people want to watch 😂
