5. British Empire Exhibition, Wembley, UK, 1924 - 25 

This month marks the 100th anniversary of a major event in British history, and with it, there’s a significant philatelic connection also being commemorated.
On the 23rd of April 1924, the British Empire Exhibition opened in Wembley in London. It was to run till the 1st of November, and restarted the next year from the 9th of May till the 31st of October.
