I thought I was the only one to notice that

The audio goes back out of AES50 into the WING, then is converted to analog XLR outputs into the ATEM

yes the wing has a usb interface, but long usb cable = problem (he mentioned it in the video)

wired directly to local inputs on back of the WING.

Yep! It works with any aes50 port! X32 or wing.

I actually just did this Anthony! What you have to do is route your broadcast TB mic via Dante to an input channel on your FOH console. Then it will be accessible to the musicians.

@@mikehines14 How did you get it routed through the DAW. Studio One only allows one source which is taken up by the virtual soundcard.

@@imgmakr If you're using a Mac you can do this with an aggregate device. If you're using a PC the software I've heard recommended is ASIO4ALL. I haven't tried it personally but I bet the process is similar. On a Mac, search for a program called "audio midi setup". This lets you combine two audio sources but your Mac will treat them as one cohesive unit. What I do is take DVS and a cheap 2 channel focusrite interface and combine them as an aggregate device. It simply takes the additional I/O from the Focusrite and adds them to the I/O of DVS. When you go into Studio One, choose aggregate device instead of DVS for all your patches. DVS stops at 64x64, so the Focusrite should be input 65. Make a channel input for your talkback in Studio One, then send it out one of your Dante outputs. Now you can patch that Dante output to your FOH console. I also use the Focusrite to get the audio back out of the DAW and go XLR into my switcher and studio monitors.

@@mikehines14 Unfortunately ASIO4ALL didn't work for me but I did manage get it working by using ReaStream and OBS. I created an audio input in OBS and added the ReaStream filter. Then created a track in SO and added the matching plug-in. Routed that to the X32 via Dante Controller.

way too much work tho flip a switch, plus someone could forget to switch it off and it would bleed a ton of volume into the in-ears. I think it's worth it.

yes the multiview helps a ton with this.

@@Churchfront one thing I like about the themes option in reaper, it give you the ability to customize every part of the GUI, granted to do that is a hassle. There is a wonderful forum of people who create amazing themes for reaper

@@DiceandGlory You mean channel 1? I just want to be sure. Currently, the X32 sends audio thru the matrix out to the Atem Television 4k Pro. We tried last sunday but the audio was low and when we added gain on the Atem it got distorted.

​@@olmanhidalgo4637 Use an interface, then pick in your streaming software the interface you're using and the you can add some VST plugins to enhance the audio signal.

Hey Noah - it does work wirelessly. Another APP that I've seen used a lot is TouchOSC.

@@JorgeSilvestrini I was talking about the broadcast mix instead of ableton. Not the FOH mix, there is obvious a reason for the wing as FOH

@@nicojansen503 Thanks for clarifying - then the answer here is - plugins and available routing and recording as well. We use a DLive 3500 at FOH and then I'm using a GLD112 for Broadcast Mixing - everything is feeding via Dante, but I'm considering sending the 32 channels we use via Dante to Pro Tools or Ableton Live and try a mix this way. I'd gain in plugins and ability to record - I think it is worth it. Then send that mix back into our GLD112 and route it to where it needs to go (video switcher) to sync and then be uploaded via RESI or BoxCast wherever it needs to go.

yes, you can have complete control when you mix in a daw like ableton.

Keep in. I don’t your channel count.....You could technically have a second “mix” by having a second channel for every input. Have 2 channels per input. And send those to your broadcast mix. Though, the gate shouldn’t matter much. It’s mainly your eq and affects that will make a huge difference.

Mixing LIVE for sure. If there is any delay created by plugins or latency, that can be adjusted as well and synced to video without a problem.

Yes the stream deck automatically toggles with it.

Piggybacking off of this.... how did you set up the streamdeck to communicate with Abelton to mute and unmute? Is it a similar setup with ProTools. Been trying to figure out how I can use my streamdeck to control mute groups in ProTools.

@@micahwagoner6114 I know it’s midi with the streamdeck, just need to know if it’s through the streamdeck app or something like companion.
