"I-SUZU" lol FYI buddy, it's pronounced E-ZUZU. Sorry, been a car guy for 40 years. I use to sell new Suzuki's and let me tell ya, they were VERY reliable! They also were a great value as they were typically the cheapest apples to apples. They left the US because American's weren't buying them at any price because they weren't fast, fancy or eye catching. Update yourself to the end of 2022 and I defy you to find a Samurai for $1,500 that doesn't need at least $5k worth of work right away. Good running, clean examples can go for $6k+ to $10k to even over $20k at this moment. The XTERA is an excellent example of a very capable off road warrior that is every bit as capable and nearly as reliable as the Toyota's and you avoid the dreaded "Toyota Tax" (Toyota tax= Paying a lot more just cuz it's a Toyota). As far as the Rav4 and the Lexus 300 or 330, I wouldn't ever put them in an "OFF ROAD" or "OVERLAND" category. As reliable as they are and although you could take them on some muddy trails, they will be left behind by the 4Runners, Land Cruisers, Isuzu's, etc, etc. when the road gets aggressively rough. The general rule of thumb here is AWD's are good for trails but anything more aggressive than a trail, you'll want an actual 4X4 with an option of low range 4X4. Lastly, when I think "Overland" vehicle, I think of something I can camp in, so keep in mind what type of interior space you'd be happy with if you so choose to truly overland camp inside the vehicle.
@@dannydressel7433 yes. I think the in 2012-2015 models the problem was corrected (Google it to make sure) If you are looking at a model that was affected (again Google it) make sure the transmission cooling unit is in the outside of the radiator. This will look like a small radiator outside the main radiator with two tubes connected to it. Good luck!
dude watch your own video please.... the spot where you say how capable the lexus is gotta be a joke right? jeeps and Fj's and such could easily go over that log.... but the Lexus with its All WHEEL drive system is not off road worthy. one look at that ground clearance. two to make it off road worthy. you would have to make it a 4x4 (meaning it would need a transfer case) final point look at the shitty turn radius it had to use to go around that tree branch...
