Toast: I've always found those pyramids for the gas hob a bit useless as the bread often doesn't brown. I use my Ridge Monkey for toast. Just put a slice in and away you go. Much quicker and very much better.

Superglue, the first trip we had we out we reversed over our small fold up step 🙄, superglued it, 7 years later still with us !

Hi there, I have a Motorhome with solar panels on the roof and a converter in one of the cabinets, I cook on a ramoska pan, it’s only 600watt and cooks anything and everything in it the same time as if your cooking on a stove top, iv only found them in a Lakeland store, they come with three different lids for different uses, I love it and it’s a great space saver, it’s worth checking out😁

Duck tape. 3 years ago on our way back to the ferry in France our wing mirror got hit by a van heading the other way. Had to make some running repairs to hold the mirror in place till we got home

I've tried all the apps you've suggested. The one I always go to for finding a site is 'search for sites', which has a huge number of sites, clever filtering for the facilities your really want, bespoke lists you can create yourself (eg summer hols / stayed here / coast tour 2022) and covers outside the UK too.

Can't wait to see the crafter! might have to pop past to see it! I'd add rechargeable USB motion sensor lights for your cupboards. As soon as you open the cupboard they come on! Great!

I have a little rocket stove and the gas for it - it's a nice peace of mind in case you run out of gas or you need a brew pronto (because you got too cold swimming in the river!) as it takes only a couple of minutes to get a mug full of water hot!

Microfibre towels are awful, they don't dry you properly. We use "free" cardboard boxes for storage and make them fit exactly using a hot glue gun for the rebuild, they last for years. We used a thin wooden fruit box, cut down for a litter bin, made it fit in a tight space. I made that 6 years ago, line it with a bag and it's great. Toilets, we use a couple of wide necked sangria bottles for number1s and she-wee. A plastic bin and dog poop bag for number2 emergencies, with a bit of cat litter. We keep a flat ended machete (or mashitty) for the forest doings, the machete for digging and also protection for the wife. Who is going to attack a woman with a machete? Our van is a little small for a portapotti.

Any alternatives to micro fibre as I hate the feel

I've never found an alternative. It's the rubbing that doesn't feel right. Get a bigger one, big enough to just pat yourself dry all over, which doesn't feel anything like as bad.
