Thanks for the great tips. One question though, When uploading your book to print on demand service, you must be able to say you own the copyright. Using canva elements, you cannot say you own the copyright, hence you can’t use canva for commercial sales if you can,t claim the copyright. Is this correct ?

You do own the copyright. You have created the book (story and layout/design) and therefore it is protected under the Artist's Copyright. Once you take those licensed Canva elements and combine them / arrange them to make something new that is uniquely yours, that new design is yours under the Artist's Copyright. The elements themselves you are using legally with the license that Canva provides. I purchased the template for the children books but even thou it say 24 pages. I only see one page.

Thanks for purchasing the template!! It has a PDF that contains the links to the different templates. There are 6 links. 3 are for your inside pages (select the correct one based on your page count) and the other 3 are the covers (again, click on the link that corresponds to your page count). A question for anyone with experience publishing with KDP and Canva... I am new at this, my first attempt ! I just want to get clarification that it is legal to use the art, etc. from Canva? I have already done the illustrations for me book, but after watching your videos, they are boring to me! I would like to use elements from Canva to spice it up, but I want to make sure I am following the legalities, since it is not my own work. Who would you label as the illustrator? Thanks to anyone who can help me !

Hi! Yes you are legally allowed to use Canva images in your book. It is what licensed art is intended for. You do not need to give credit to the individual illustrators - the license for these works specifies that credit does not need to be given. However, when you use the licensed art, you can't say that you "illustrated" the book. That would imply that you drew the Illustrations yourself. So I would just not list an Illustrator in that case. There are a lot of books where the illustrator is not listed, either licensed art was used or sometimes it happens with agencies that have illustrators working for them to illustrate individual books - they don't always have the illustrator's name on the book. Hope that helps answer your questions!

I keep changing cm. to inches on Canva, but it won't budge. It stays on cm. I checked online for solutions, but nothing. Got any ideas?

Where are you changing it? You can't change it in the document after you've already created it, but you can do Resize / Magic Switch to resize it to an inches measurement.
