All great tips! In addition to these, the most common mistake I see is beginning the kick too soon, which means that the kick's power is lost as it hits the target during the recovery phase.
Good video as this is a kick I really struggle with lose balance a lot,I like way shown a proper hook kick because lot people just go straight through with the leg don't use the hook
Sir why do you go for a winding hook when you can go for straight kick which is fastest in reaching a target as it travel in straight line and so it is also powerful because of its speed.
I'm not sure if it's a difference between the styles but I train ITF and I notice that in your tutorials that you lean after the kick and the ITF clips don't. Both seem to work great just wondered what the reason was for the lean?
David Agudelo -Abre la pelvis , - fortalece tu core, dobla ligeramente tu rodilla delantera e impulsate con tu pie atrasado al mismo tiempo que estiras tu rodilla de apoyo
i need to perform this move several times for my 2nd Dan test. thank you so much!! this highlighted many of the problems that I was having. the animation was also very very helpful. Go master Woo!!!!
Master, whenever i'm tryin' to pivot there's something that's stings in my ball of foot... what was that means? its feels like a vein is being trapped and twisted. it hurts.
my kick is kinda like u explained, but they were waving there arm to much in the exampels, gives away the hole kick. it hase to look like u are turning around and your foot is suddenly shooting out.
Wael He, You’ll get there eventually😊 It took me 6 months before getting the fundamentals down and 6 more to master it. I’m a first degree black belt (almost 2nd) and from my personal experience I learned that you can master any kick you want, just keep practicing and don’t give up. But, There are physical boundaries that some can’t pass and I’d be lying to you if I said that ANYONE can do it. Be sure you’re flexible, relatively in shape, and strong.
i see that you are a white belt, from your profile picture of course, reverse hook kick is one of the advanced kicks of taekwondo, im not stopping you from practicing these kicks but please practice at your own pace, dont force yourself too much, you will get more hurt than your opponent because of overstretching or incorrect execution of the kick, as a red belt myself in ITF TaekwonDo, i find these kicks hard and extremely demanding or your body energy and resources, just saying this to you as a fellow Indian martial artist! Also, the kick is called *Huryeo Chagi*
