Sedan are only for those who can afford to have big parking space & driver. Congested Cities & many Residential premises does not offer BIG Parking Spaces for Sedans. Buyers are not happy with Elevate as Honda is not offering the same variant feature list as they have offered on City. Discrimination to promote City over Elevate is not acceptable. Nor Honda is offering 1.5 Turbo engine against competition.

People wanted something more than engine nowdays. The era was gone when engine is only important thing in the car. This pattern needs to be understood by car manufacturers. Engine make the car move from point-A to point-B. Which is common in all cars. Every car can run with 150kmph nowdays. People are clever.

Cab drivers need cars that are highly reliable and with least cost of maintainenance. Wagon R is a very practical car. Many families purchased it. Not only cab drivers. But customer demand is changing very fast. Most want compact SUV now or an MUV. Hatchbacks too loosing their charm as companies not willing to even give 1.3-1.4 Ltr 4 cylinder NA engines with them. Instead reducing their weight and features to accomodate them within budget with 1.2 NA engines. Earlier i20 had more weight and fog lights with cornering function. Now Hyundai has removed fog lamps from i10 Nios, i20 etc. Don't see any reason why a customer would go for such cars. They offer nothing different

Agree with many Pros of Sedans. But they are in your perspectives. Gobally also Sedans Sales nos are fast declining & SUV Sales nos. are on the rise. Which also you have to consider. And Indians are no different. Out of around 3.38 lacs unit sold in April, 24, Sedans sales nos is less than 8% & from those 60%+ is of Maruti Dezire. Indians are smart enough to select their best options for better ingress-egress comfort for family members & to counter rough patches-speedbreakers on Indian roads. Got to consider more than 90% Cars are sold for City traffic conditions & average speed is around 15-20 Kmph. Owners does not bother to know, understand & experience body roll, handling, driving dynamics,......... Etc. For them cabins pace, low costs of ownership & maintenance, Services Stn Networt, Reliability, Efficiency........ & above all word of mouth Trust & Confidence are most important factors of buying a Car That's the info collected from my friends, family & relatives groups.

No one thinks that much. At 100-120 Kmph max how much bodyroll one can get. Then how much you gonna use bootspace on regular basis. Most will be happy with 350 litres bootspace with compact or pseudo SUV's. In traffic cars that are in 4 m category generally have an edge. So, where will people go with your so called sedans. We have Santro Xing and after driving it you won't feel like sitting in a sedan at all. Indian market is accepting tall boy design, compact SUV's and MUV's. If you can't get it then keep on ranting about Sedans Right now only Brezza is an option in Compact SUV segment that has 1.5 NA engine. If Honda and others can give that sort of combo then their sales can rise. Not everyone has budget for Creta Segment. Turbo engines will be big flop as in city conditions they won't give mileage and everywhere traffic is increasing. So, where will people use turbo power VW or Honda etc don't have CNG even as an option so can't expect them to do sales way too much. EV's too not from them in budget segment yet.

Nexon update looks too ugly as compared to Mahindra.

@@rajoosolanky780 The fact is that the fatal accidents happens only during that 10% of the drives in highways and Sedans are better equipped to handle these critical situations. While I was discussing about the accidents that happen on Ooty ghats, the policeman told me that even some good drivers finds it difficult to manage the SUV in the fast moving ghat section. If the market moves that way it’s fine but that does not necessarily mean that buyers are always well informed and knowledgeable.

@@baskarsathya9300 Fact of the matter Nobody wants to buy SEDAN anymore. In the used car market there are no buyers for Sedans. 4 year old Honda City is available at 50% the price. No takers. Ofcoarse there will be Sedan lovers but it's fast diminishing tribe.

I disagree. A Santro's headlight appears to be like a truck headlight since one sits so low in a sedan.

@@AuguryOmen I may not have driven a sports car but i have driven enough of sedans and as far as day driving is concerned, they are great but not during the night. Brother i have never been so fortunate to drive a sports car but let me tell you, my mindset is not as low as you think, i am not just fortunate like you. And I drive cars which suit me practically, if you like sedans, i have nothing against you, but I dont appreciate yr comment on mindset. If my mindset is low, then i guess its so for crores of Indians which can be proven thru statistics.

India me jyadatar log Kam kamate hai. Maruti chalti bhi hai tension free 10-15 years aur bik bhi jati hai. Jaha tak rating ki baat hai, to extra safety features ke extra points nhi milte hai. Aur star rating se jyada accha hai ki points pe dhyan Diya Jaye. Honda amaze ko 2* mile par points 27/34 aur Kia Karens ko 22/34 points pe 3* mil gaye. Verna ko 28/34 pe 5* mil gaya. Aur Citroen ko 20/34 pe 0* mile hai. To star rating aapko dhokha de sakti hai, ho sakta hai 2* rated car me 4* rated car se jyada safety features ho jo ncap count nhi karti apne rating system me.😊

car companies are stupid, they shud sell want consumers want and not shove low riding sedans down their throat, the roads have gone from bad to worse why wud ppl buy sedans, they are a big headache on our India roads

I have driven honda city to manali and shimla, even to chitkul, believe me 165mm is more than enough you just need to drive carefully. Roads are improving

I Agee with you. Honda India's arrogance of not listening to customers demand & competitions will ruin their sales nos. Over the years they were forced to discontinue because of step motherly treatment or not offering features according to competition models like JAZZ, WR-V, CR-V, CIVIC,........

Go for reliability not fad.

Check where you will be driving mostly. In city conditions Fronx with 1.2 NA engine will be better and easier on your pocket. Turbo engines can't give fuel economy in city traffic. So, decide what's important for you. I don't see any reason to go for turbo engines unless we getting 1.5 Turbo. Cars till XUV 3XO can run fine with 1.5 NA engines too. Where we will use turbo Then turning radius of XUV 3XO will be more. So, these things only you have to check. Even now XUV 3XO has some missing features like Ventilated Seats etc. It will be safer with good brakes though because of all disc brakes

​@@dheerajbhushan4371XUV 300 never had any issue regarding reliability as such. So, I don't expect it to be unreliable again. Yup few sensors etc have been added so in the initial lots therd might be an issue with their working so better to wait and watch for an year

Previously owned a mid range sedan now having a mid range SUV. I can feel the upgrade, previously I needed to drive carefully during commuting now it doesn't matter as I need not to bother much about speed breakers, Potholes and undeveloped roads. Also Seating position in those so called SUVs is a far better thing, upright position that makes you more confident and comfortable during drive. Overall on Indian road conditions mid range SUVs are the best buy you can bet on

parking pleasure is a thing also. I already saved at least 1 hour of my working time during the first 2 months itself. Aasan h parking

Elevate Manual … kushaq and taigun drives a bit better but are a hell to maintain. Elevate is spacious for tall people and has a bulletproof engine.

I have virtus highline mt 6000+ km driven in just 6 months. Just 2 problem in it are rollback problem in hills you have to be careful and color problem in terms of maintainence if someone is want a maintainence free color then choose white or silver. Otherwise very good machine. No issue of mileage and safety.

No it's a old Fiat engine... below the belt performance....and city mileage is around 6-7kmpl...I m regretting.....go for some other...
