I agree with a lot of what you said and SBA can be a a bit of a joke. However, I have to admit that if it weren't for our SBA 8(a) certification and a client that was willing to sole source to us, we may never had the success we enjoy today as a graduate of that program. The sole-source vehicle helped us aquire project experience as a prime so that we can now be competative on larger opportunities. However, it seems lately that our large Governmet client is being pushed to NOT sole-source anyore. Unforutnately, they are missing the whole point of that program. Oh, and what you said about GSA is spot on. Thank God we did our own application and did not spend too much for a vehicle that was never used. "Marketing by way of bidding" - absolutely!

I’ve received 3 of those direct emails that looked real but they’ve all been scams. Check carefully. I was told by one agency that I contacted to verify the first one I received that one lady fell for the scam and was out her money.
