So right after watching this vid, i was screwin around on my phone so i hit the NASA credit union site and did the pre-qual. Within a couple minutes it showed i was approved for their card with a $5000 CL i had never heard of this credit union i was really surprised lol. Kudos to the author of this video, Cal, the guy has really done his homework 👍👍
It's one of the number one credit unions in the world it's in Washington, DC where NASA is actually located I know I have them and have never had any issue love them and consider yourself apart of the NASA club 🎉
X1 is asking for my ssn to do a soft pull. Soft pulls CAN appear on your credit report. You won't know until it happens. It may not affect your score like a hard pull, but it indicates you are shopping for credit.
Chase is lowering limits right now. Had a card that I used a lot and never rarely carried a balance, got a email wanting me to contact them. So I called and they lowered my 3000.00 limit to 500.00. Several other people I have came across is also having the same thing happen to them. Just a heads up
Airline cards, specifically from Citi in my experience, may have high limits because you need high limits for business class travel and credit holds when the travel agency screws up. I used over $5000 in additional temporary authorizations while booking a $3000 trip once. My Citi AA Platinum Select (a mid-tier card despite the fancy name) limit is higher than my CSR. Synchrony-issued cards and Capital One (except VX) are to be avoided if high limits are your goal. Synchrony actively reduces limits and Capital One simply starts too low. I have no data on Barclays cards.
wow thank you! I just watched this video and applied for the X1 card and got approved with a 3k credit limit then did the apple credit card one with an ipad in my cart when applying and got approved for a 6k credit limit with them.
I did the Apple card application 3 days ago. Froze Transunion after getting the offer and took $2000, without the hardpull. I will also build that up in a few months.
I enjoy most credit videos however if any of the youtubers were really helping it would be nice to know what's your current fico scores how much available credit you had at time of applying did you have 4 chase 3 Amex and your have a 70k available card the videos are great but if there were no soft pulls people would have 100 inquiries
I love the Apple Card but it’s missing a couple of features that prevent it from being my number one financial tool. If they had a balance transfer feature it would be awesome.
Dont freeze credit reports before applying it makes u look sketchy to the lending institutions and a high risk it makes no sense if they cant see you info why would they give you a line of credit, i have never froze my credit and im up to 50k in ccs unsecured
VERY insightful, up to date CC information... I tried a free inquiry on several of my accounts and they all worked. Then I tried a preliminary soft pull , applying for a specific card. Viola , results....
Yes, I after seeing the credit limit on Apple Card, I froze my transunion score, went back to apple and accepted the card. I kept the credit score frozen for a month. After having the Apple Card for 2 months they did the credit hard pull. I’m sure Apple figured out the this hack after so many attempts 😅.
Update -my scores are now between 738 to 753 Will I be approved for a chase freedom unlimited? Plus I work a full time job That pays $40k salary it says im pre- approved on the app credit history 2years
on my chase app, I'm approve for Chase Sapphire preferred and reserve but i'm not paying that reserve annual fee not worth it, the preferred is the way to go, Chase said because of my relationship with chase they were able to customize options that fit how I bank, the used my credit journey to customize my offer just wondering should I get it, I already have the Chase Freedom and unlimited cards, I have Navy Fed flagship, Capitol one Savor one, Discover card, Apple card, Citi Bank etc...
Generally yes but the US Bank Altitude Reserve Infinite Visa can be approved for less. I've seen many data points on the myfico forums which show approvals between 5 and 10k.
After getting the soft pull offer, always freeze all of your credit accounts before accepting the final offer. I did that and it did not do a hard pull for me and I received $4,500. So sorry that happened to you.
Good. Confused tho about once thing. If I freeze accounts from hard pulls, doesn’t that make not being approved more likely since most cards want to do a hard check for final approval?
people keep applying for credit cards and they never pay the banks! In USA, you can apply credit cards easily even you are a non-US citizen or non-resident!!! I’m afraid the banks will be bankrupt!
I see no reason why one should have a C.C and no active source of income. No doubts , A good way of growing and saving your money is through investing . You don't need to have much before you can invest. "That little money you have now can make you millions if you invest it wisely". I wasnt financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn on a monthly through passive income and got 4 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing is a grand choice I made.

Hey so i’m just getting into the credit card game just turned 20, I got a discover secure credit card about 5 months ago and yesterday I just added the apple card to my collection. Unfortunately when I was a in my teens I got my Chase checkings acc closed do you think this will affect me applying to their credit cards and if so do you think after a year or two of building my credit I should give it a shot ?
The chase is not so good I have a chase 10k and you owe them 500 even before you start using it and every month they charge the card 125-135 so it’s up to you to take it and even if u owe 2k an it and even if 3 months you don’t use the as long as you owe them they will charge your card every month until you pay off everything not too good

Cash is king Never had a credit card If you can’t buy it with cash don’t need it. I buy houses with cash car with cash etc. Don’t most people make 15-20k a month????
But why would yall want such a high credit limit it makes sense if you're rich and can pay it right back, but having such a high limit when a lot of yall probably dont even make 3k a month is gonna lead to debt if you don't have the money to pay it
I agree!! That’s pretty scary to get a high credit limit! If I decided to get a credit card soon,we’ll I will definitely make sure it’s not that much money! I wouldn’t want to mess up my credit score which is pretty high in the 7 hundreds!
If you smart you pay your bills with a new card if thdme card says spend a certain amount like 3k you oay your billup to 3k then all you paying back is the 3k and your bill gets paid and you get bonus which you can travel on. You just have to know what you are doing

Fico score moved up by on time payments and low utilization high balance in checking account or savings. A salary of 50000 or more or a savings account of 10,000 or more
