- Play Magicka build. (Generally easier to play solo and in group contents) - Join player Guild. - Join Fighters and Mages guild ASAP. - Upgrade Your Mount (You can upgrade your mount once a day at the stablemaster). - Deconstruct Everything. - Start researching traits at Blacksmithing, Woodworking and Clothing stations. - Doing all *seven daily crafting writs* will upgrade crafting and gives great rewards such as: gear repair kits, surveys to find crafting material, and improvement materials from green to gold. - Don't spend gold on anything until character bag and bank (account-wide) slots are maxed. - Always use food or drink. (Consumables you find or drops from enemy kill). - Practice weaving to maximize dps you immediately activate skill after a light attack in between. - Get the hireling passives for crafting. - Everyday do the daily battlegrounds and a daily random normal dungeon when you get to level 10. Tons of XP - *ESO Plus* is absolutely worth the money if you’re going to play long term. Unlimited Crafting bag and access to all the DLC zones and many useful quests and skill lines.

Another great and very pertinent video! I love that you deal with us as actual people who may NOT already be at CP 3200, with a massive bank (both money and slots - there's another popular YT ESO blogger whose channel I watch regularly. I find him informative but I don't really connect with some of the things he says because he makes everything sound so easy, failing to take account that not all of us play games for a living, a massive bank, close to 1B gold in the bank, etc...I'm not jealous, it just makes me feel like we aren't on the same playing field and never will be. Why bother trying - after all, Spider Solitaire misses me! I busted out laughing when I heard you talk about "Reading Blows".(16:32) (I remember some of my children going through that stage!) I had to go back and look more closely at the screen to realize you had said 'Reaving Blows'. So thank you for that morning smile!

Do crafting so you dont have to depend on the guild store or drops for gear. Sure we will hunt for gear out in the world BUT initially we will have our crafted sets to help us get started. Cooking and alchemy is very useful too. In the early beginner stage, go to kennarthis roost and open chests along the coast to get your training set ...training jewelry and weapons and armour for free. Training sets give you xp to level faster. The stats are well balanced too. Deconstruct the pieces you dont need to level your crafting as you go.

Honestly, before I used the RotPO I thought it was being overexaggerated but the moment I put it on and started doing content where I needed extra healing it was nuts. A tip that helped me when I started the gear farming process while solo, like RotPO don't be afraid of swapping to a more defensive playstyle so you don't just get mogged when learning harder content, always remember, not dying is much more important in solo than killing something marginally faster!

Loved the tip about the weapon skill that returns health. As a new player who rolled a Stamplar Orsimer DW, I was starting to worry I'd have to change to Magicka if I wanted to survive solo gameplay.

I set up my weapons for 2 different things. It depends on the build, but 1 good example for Solo play is 1 weapon (Bow) for AoE/Crowd Control, and swap bars for Single Target Boss Killing (For Solo, it's 1H&S, because you have to take a beating too. That Block really improve my chances of surviving the boss' heavy hits.) Irrespective of race, class, and primary resource. Unless you're particularly good at bar swap animation canceling, it's best to have 1 set up for a specific kind of fight, and the other for another. So, you only have to swap when the fight changes. Another good one for Nightblade is I have a DPS bar, then a 2H Execute bar. So, when their health gets low, you just kill them. Particularly good in PvP, where a lot of players have massive self-heals.

When i first started playin eso my first class i went for is nord sorcerer with medium armor XD. Didnt like the game at that time becuz i had done everything wrong in the game and i didnt know what to do at that time then i left the game for some time and when necros and warden introduced to the game i cameback and im deeply in love with magicka necro literally spent almost 789 hrs on this char.

For solo play, how to solo world bosses. I am having a major problem getting the last piece of the Ring of the Pale Order. It only drops from any world boss in Wrothgar. I solo pretty much everything, so my set collection is pretty bare in dungeons and world bosses are a bare spot on the zone guides. I can solo dolmens, public dungeons, delves rather easily, but the RPO would be a game changer to get the rest. I understand mechanics are a major part of that, and I still need a few insights to help me with those, as I have only been playing seriously for a short time. I just started incorporating a second bar because my dexterity on the keyboard isn't that great with my sausage fingers. One reason I am not a better guitar player.

Those WB in Wrothgar may be tricky, but there are always people doing dailies or just wanting to kill these bosses... or just passing by. You just have to be patient, but usually it's not that long. Or you can just ask for help in the zone chat end people will show up. Unless you absolutely want to do it or your own, it should't take long.

If Templar and sorcerer are two of the three classes with the easiest sustain I must be doing it wrong because I've had to sacrifice some damage on my magplar so that I don't run out of gas after 2 rotations. And I'm definitely doing it wrong on my sorcs if they're easy to sustain. I'm not kidding, I go oom after one rotation, and that's with me maxing out mag regen wherever I can. It's so bad that I have 2 sorcs because I love playing wizards but I don't play either because they're impossible to play for me! /cry Great video though!!

Heavy attacks restore resources. Also look into getting good food buffs/potions.

I have been working on playing solo and have been learning the small things that help but man, sometimes I feel SO squishy when I run in. I will smash a dungeon on my sorcerer then take my dk into the same instance with very similar gear and get rolled even on trash. I'm still learning and working on it but I feel out of my depths on some classes for sure.

Just get the base game and have fun. A subscription is nice and has everything but the newest DLC. It won't hurt you much not to have the very latest toys, and you can buy most of what's in it from someone else.

There’s a dungeon in Craglorn that I tried to solo. Got most of the way through and then found it needs four of you to stand on pressure plates to progress past a certain point. Not happy...

As much as I love it for group content and grinding trash mobs in solo, the New Moon Acolyte set isn't the best for Arena content in my experience. The extra damage is nice, but in most cases, you are going to notice that extra 5% ability cost wearing you down pretty quickly.

around 1:09 you said you can't solo trials, technically lol... in fact you can.. Ring of the Pale Order + Necro/Warden and its easy mode lol also IMO the strategic reserve cp slot in the red tree is highly underrated.. yes you will be using your ultimate likely as soon as it is available, but having your health recovery boosted to nearly 2k(even for a short time) can make you really feel tanky.. even without the RotPO, this passive will make you regen health fast... IMO this passive is very useful for pet sorcs, bear wardens, and necros(especially those who only use the revive ulti)..

You stated the obvious which I have stated in the other guides you put out choose a Magicka build cuz ESO caters heavily to magicak build. Melee stam classes are a dying breed even tanks are wielding staffs these days. Tip for new people is to stay on one character until you get good. I know so many new people who as soon as they reach 160 they start a new character and so forth making them not good in any class. Stay on a "main" until you get good & get into the vet content before starting a new toon.

Nord stam dk. Warior stone. Salvation troll king and tormenthor. Main 2handed mace +penetration traid. Back bar sword and bord with penetration traid and max stam all gear max heal. All juwerly weapon boost enchand and 2 max stam 1 max heal traid. Max stam total is 25k heal is 38k and magic is 17.5k just enouf for 3 heals as werewolf

Can you recommend some base game sets , as a player new to the game with no DLC , not part of a guild , that does not know anything about trails . Clearly only 2 ways to go , magicka or stamina .

If you're enjoying the game, eso plus is worth the cost to play almost all the dlcs. I personally like a lot of overland armor sets. There's a good chart on the wiki for armor sets by zone, just google overland armor sets eso and you'll get there. :)

i sometimes got "go find friends, its mmo not single player game, dont solo the game that supposed to be played multiplayer bullshit things" for me personally why i played solo is because of my timezones different. i do have some friends in eso and the guild im in also helpful but it just that when they online it like 2 or 3 am at my place. i would not sacrifices my sleep just to play game. it not like im solo everythings in the game. i still played in group for trials and vet dungeon and some dungeon that need other people for their mechanic. i dont want to queue for almost 30-40 minutes just to find a group to play a normal base game dungeon that can be solo if with proper setup.

No. Summerset is needed for scrying and excavation skill lines which are need to find mythic items.

Do what I did.... Play solid for a month. Buy a load of gold with real money. Buy loads of armours and motifs. Make your dude look cool as hell. Get bored and stop playing before you reach cp160.

I feel ya. But These are only the best sustain Sets. On my Solo Stamsorc i wear Tzogvin and Briar. Tzogvin does everything you need for solo. It opens up a slot on your bar for giving you minor force and it gives pen. And you will need Pen as Stam Toon. If sustain is too tough even with food and potions, you might consider the trial sets. Or playing Redguard. :D

I just started playing and I've been watching your videos. But I have to say by the time i get halfway in you have already lost me. You are talking about skills in lines I've never even heard of lol. Or sets that seem so far off. I just want to know how to survive to 20, then 30, then 40 ya know? I think I just need a dum dum version of TRUELY NEW PLAYER tips. This game is VAST and I feel like I'm doing everything wrong. For instance: one tip you had was to always have at least one of each armor type equipped, and I try, but I'm dependant on drops. oi

@@jonathanturner4318 All his 1 ability builds are for CP grind not normal play, if that is what you're talking about. I've watched dozens of his builds and they normally aren't one ability spam outside of some of the new cp grind ones and even those it's usually a combo of 2 or 3 abilities to aoe blow up packs. Only just wall build I've ever seen him do was the one warden cp grind one. He does one bar and two bar builds for most of his solo stuff giving stuff for beginners or vet players. Maybe you haven't looked at his vids that are actual builds outside of the cp grind which are just for mindless cp grinding mobs not real content. It sounds like you've looked at one or two builds an decided everyone of his videos is like that.

@@bradmiles1984 That is probably fair, I haven’t looked at a lot of his builds. The last one I saw though he called a 1 skill build, talked about it having infinite sustain, and recommended people grind in delves apparently. So he lied about two things and gave bad info about a 3rd. And that’s just from what I can remember. Why would I watch more of his videos? And why are people grinding cp is they can’t even do skyreach? I don’t understand who that video is for except new people who don’t know any better. I mean, please tell me if I’m missing something?

@@jonathanturner4318 I would assume it is for people maybe grinding CP but want to be able to have up netflix and not have to pay a lot of attention. Those builds were only recent on his channel before that he did specialty builds for solo or group play. My guess is with the champion system change he's riding the cp grind train while he can. I was just pointing out it's not the vast majority of his builds. He normally goes in depth with the gear, cp, skills, and both 1 and 2 bar rotations with things that can be swapped out depending on your needs.

Ive actually thought about starting my own channel creating content aimed at this problem. I play ESO and EVE online where all the videos are like "all you need to have fun is 3 years of experience, end game content, and $200 worth of in-game currency then you're good to go!" I really like picking apart the early game and enjoying the meat of a game (lore) as opposed to breaking the newest mera and rushing max level content. I just dont know if thats something people would watch or not as everyone seems to only care about meta pvp and elite pve.

I Think it is much more important to recognize that ESO is an MMO... It's designed to be played IN GROUPS... If you'd rather hide in a basement and play solo, or you're a special snowflake who thinks they play at special strange hours, it's time to get out of your comfort zone... Maybe people don't understand the concept of timezones.... but "strange hours" are primetime in another part of the world... So the number 1 tip for solo players is to join a guild or 5... so you don't hafta worry about it....

Guilds require activity. A solo player or hermit player won't condtzbtly be active in chats in general and after inactivity and not donating gold you can get kicked or be due.

Ok but great job at NOT explaining how to get to the star chart level up screen. Just glosses over that like we all know. Unless it’s not part of the game but I still can’t find it. Very not appreciated

Don't solo. Learn how to play in a group. It opens up so much more of the game

agreed grouping will open up the game much more(trials, vet dungeon, pvp and more). for me personally soloing also an option if you want to farm overland gear from wb or some base game dungeon or maybe dlc dungeon just to farm the item set there. just my personal opinion after playing this game for a quite some time.
