I took the Viltrox 85mm out to shoot street photography for a week,
Shutting my self off from all my other camera gear and spend a week with the 85mm for street photography
Street photography images shot on the XT3 with the Viltrox 85mm f1.8. All film footage was captured on XT3. All images are edited in Adobe Lightroom CC.

Good to see, that streetphotography has no rules. Every focallength has it's own character. The separation of the people is very nice, especially with this fast lens, awesome bokeh! Your videos are always a joy, great work! 👍

Thanks so much ! Yeah it's fun to experiment. I still think I love the 35 feel from the x100 as it just gives so much more of a feeling of the street. But I do think any lens can be used for street, as long as there is a story to tell... Thanks again for the kind words ✌️

Loved this style of video, it was like you brought us along for the adventure. Also the repeat routes that soon became familiar in location but unpredictable subjects and resulting photographs. Brilliant, keep up the good work! (I hear you have a podcast too... will have to check it out- you're a cool guy)

Hey Feydan! Yeah for the money the Viltrox is really good! Its not as fast as the Fuji lenses but it's a great lens for the price.

Today I watched the entire video for the 18th time and I am still absorbing the fact that how beautifully you have synced all the clips, transitions and the music choice, I am pleased to be able to witness this piece, it is more of a visual masterpiece to me than a review for a lens, I am buying it now for sure, also man, please name the font you used for the Week Days i.e monday, Thursday etc… Loved it ❤️

I've been looking for review for the lens and the "BC building" at 1:04 brings tons of memory as my relative worked there and he took me to his work when I visited him while studying in the UK. He works as a photographer there, too. Didn't expect this nostalgic feeling when looking for a new lens to reignite my love with photography haha

I really like this focal length. The shallow DOF it gives is fantastic. I only have the X100V, and even using the teleconver, there are times when I have to get a bit closer than I would like. If you ever see a fat bold guy wondering around Nottingham with a Fujifilm, give me a shout!

I'd double check but I think if your camera uses x mount lenses then you should be good ✌️

Yeah i much prefer having a prime, if i have a zoom i feel like im constantly changing my mind on what looks right and not just taking the photo in the moment

If only been shooting 27mm and got rid of all other lenses and was considering to get myself a 56mm. Maybe I should just go all the way for this lens and push myself to a place I’ve never been, 56mm is very familiar.

I don’t understand why, but the 85mm focal length seems to produce a different image than other lenses. Even with my old canon 85mm there was something g different but good about it.

Yeah it gives a lovely compression to the image bringing foreground and background together in such a lovely way✌️
