Always act weak and humble, and cowardly. That gives you the greatest advantage.

Not a bad survival skill, as long as you don’t actually believe that’s who you are. A great movie to watch about this is called the usual suspects with Kevin Spacey. When you see who his character becomes at the end, it is such a shock and that is what you want to shoot for.

There's def. more than one philosophy about how and which hand you can throw a jab with. There's another philosophy that says you should jab with your STRONG hand since it's already forward and closer to the target. This is self-defense, not sport. Unpredictability can be as dangerous as a trained fighter.

These things always start with the assumption that you can out run the bad guy. Are you someone who is good at running? If you aren't a runner, there is a good chance they catch you. The average person is breathing hard if they have to park far away at Wal-Mart.

#1"Poke to the eye and he'll run away" Or charge forward in a hella rage. Be ready for that. #2 Uppercut is good, a palm heel under the chin works as well. #3 Absolutely not, that forward grab can take you off your feet, and the chance you're going to think to do that in the quarter second second that it happens is pretty nill. The punch thing isn't gonna happen. #4 Definitely work on your footwork and jab from conventional and south paw. Work on power hit the heavy bag and push through it. #5 Demonstrates why #3 wont work.

@@FightFast No problem, I don't mean to sound harsh, but as I've said, I have 3 2nd BB in TMA cage fought and was a bouncer for many years. I have seen this stuff happen first hand and had to get in the middle of it. And a lot of what gets shown there... is... no... time... or there is no preparation for whats gonna happen next and others you would never do and are absolutely ridiculous. Some of it's good, dont get me wrong some of it is.

#4 after twisting/turn and doing your upper cut drive your elbow down into their collar bone !!! Even if you don't break their collar bone you will see that 60% of the power they had with which ever side you hit was just cut !!! More than likely you will break or dislocate the collar bone with this move completely taking that arm out of the fight and giving you a soft target to poke till they stop F_ing with you !!!

@@cfmpam498230 a lot of people claim to be something they are not. Also , no matter if you are a master at practicing a specific style doesn't mean you can effectively use it. A lot of people think they are masters of something
@adamtownsend9606

For a JKD master you seem to want to complicate a technique that the founder of JKD would never have done. And I agree you've never been in a fight. People get black belts everyday without ever having been in a real fight, it's dishonest and dangerous of instructors to tell these people they can protect themselves when they can't.

I NEVER punch- and have taken down a LOT of "boxers" that tried that.. including golden gloves boxers.. I HATE boxing.. VERY ineffective if you know what you're doing.. (against it , I mean)..
