Your comment made me smile. My husband & I are lawyers and he makes our lunch one week and I make lunch the next week. We are both in high rise chambers so it makes sense. It is also much cheaper. Australia.

Julia, I usually do the cheesy hash brown casserole ( with ham ) as freezer meals for those days that I don’t want to cook. I make several up and stick them in my freezer and then when I need a good meal, I pull one out , bake covered on 375 for an hour or until done ( my oven cooks uneven sometimes. ) serve with a side salad. Yummy

That’s great to know that it freezes well! I wasn’t sure if the sour cream in it would do well or not. We make a very similar casserole, and everyone loves it! It would be great to make some up ahead of time and keep in the freezer. Thanks so much! 😊

Julia, I really enjoy your videos. Your ideas for meals have saved me so much time and given me so many options. You are always quick and to the point...no dragging out recipes. I would only make one small suggestion - a list off to the side in the video of the ingredients you're tossing in as you toss them in. I know it's a bit more time consuming for you in the editing process, but it's just a thought that could be helpful to some. Again, I love your videos, I love you, you are AWESOME. Since watching this video few days ago I've tried the blue berry french toast. And I will be added to my keep file for breakfast meals. Made the house smell so good. Hey! Thank you so much for all of your amazing recipes on all of your videos. I am wondering at what time do you put these recipes on to cook? Do you wake up at like 5:00 in the morning and put them on or put them on low the night before?

The hash brown casserole looks really good!! How do you prepare long breakfast meals that take 5-6 hours? Do you get up in the middle of the night? My absolute favorite recipe of all of the videos is the slow cooker chicken pot pie! I have made it for us and for friends who are sick. They love that there is no crust or noodles in it, as do it.

@@JuliaPacheco Ah thank you for answering this question! I was so confused about the timing! 🤣 So you find that leaving it at room-temperature for a few hours before the crockpot switches on doesn't affect the outcome for any of these recipes? (Greetings from Adelaide, South Australia).

@@carinetang776 I’m pretty sure she means the crockpot has a cook timer and then it automatically switches to keep warm setting. Definitely not safe to keep raw food at room temperature for hours before cooking.

All recipes look delicious. My only problem using the crockpot is the cooking time of approximately 5 hours. I would need to be up before 4am to be able to eat these for breakfast 😂

I would invest in a digital crockpot with a keep warm feature. I have two crockpots for these reason. I don’t mind having two because sometimes I’ll use both at the same time for large gatherings. Now I have a rice cooker that happens to have a built in slow cooker feature with keep warm so I’m going to try that out. The rice cooker takes up less counter space. If you have an instant pot, those come with slow cooker features too.

Yes. You can also use other fruits. I like to make a few dishes at a time; cool; portion; freeze on a cookie shhet and bag. Then the cleanup is done and you just heat n eat.

@@cindyg.3875 I was just thinking the exact same thing. A cheaper hack is to plug your crockpot into a timer that you use for timing lights when you are out of town. I used to plug my coffee pot into one of those.
