Ah - great question. You just need to make sure they are as fresh as possible. If you buy from a reputable grocery store, and check date, you are fine. Don't let that fear put you off buying such a healthy food.
Fantastic show and great to see the profile of the condition been raised. I’d like to see more gluten free cookery shows to help show how to make it healthier than buying
Love listening to you Sophie 🍏🍒would love to hear how you began your healthy vegan journey......how should I start?? I feel overwhelmed, but want to head in that direction....thank you🍐🍑🥕
Thanks for your question. For me it was a journey of slowly evolving. I've been interested in health and fitness since the age of 20, and it's evolved as I've learned and continued my education. If you want to start, why not jump on my 30 Day Plant-Powered Challenge? The next one starts at the beginning of September - and you will learn SO much about how to get started. sophieuliano.safechkout.net/PPCSEPT2019INT
@@SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen I just discovered You, yesterday... I'm beyond happy that You popped up in my feed! KEEP UP the great work, Sophie!💕 💙💛🌹💜🍎🇺🇸
I love these ideas, esp the porridge and tofu scramble, I’m giving them a try this week. My go to breakfast is oatmeal with cinnamon and almonds. I am in love with that hummingbird blouse, would you mind giving buying info? Thanks again Sophie, looking forward to the challenge!
Oh that avocado toast looks amazing - I always wondered what else I could do with those dried chickpea snacks! And really cool turmeric and black pepper fact! Didn't know that black pepper helps with absorption.
Hi Sophie, I was surprised y the amount of nut butter you put on the toast. What about the calories. Should we be worried about that? I have always been scared to use a lot.
HI Silvana - it depends. Not a one size fits all. If I'm working with a client who needs and wants to lose unwanted pounds, I may go with 1 tbsp, but if you don't need to, going with 2 is fine. So long as it's a nut butter without added oils and sugars. Nut butters are a great way to get protein into your diet.
You can cook steel cut oats and make oatmeal the night before in a crockpot .You can add fruit and nuts to it and it tastes wonderful .It’s not as heavy and thick ,and you can actually eat it for a couple of days.
Hi Sophie! The things that I was most impressed with in your recipes was the volume of the food. So many of us who have dieted our whole lives have been told you have to eat LESS LESS LESS, but your portions are very generous and full of protein! I am in my sixties and have had a long history of obesity. I don't eat horribly but I certainly don't eat anywhere as healthily as you do. I really would like to learn to like some of this stuff oh, so this is a great way to start! Thank you. 💟
SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN TO B THE BEST FOR HEALTH AT ANY AGE. BESIDES IT HELPS THE ENVIRONMENT- MOTHER NATURE & ALL LIVING CREATURES INCLUDING OURSELVES. BLESSINGS ✌💜
🌞🌻👃Thank you for the nice rscipes, I feel a plant based breakfast is the hardest. I think I may try the sourdough bread, I have been using Ezekiel but I seem to get bread that has a strange flavor, very hard to describe some even smelled like fish was just terrible. I am going to make my own, it seems to be the only real safe way!✅
Hi Sophie, I am so glad to have found your channel. I totally agree with you that it doesn't have to be down hill from here. I have been doing intermittent fasting and I like the results that I'm getting. My struggle has been figuring out what to eat, staying in my calorie range of 1600, while eating foods I like. Oh and living in a house where everyone else eats what they want. So I am taking note of the menu ideas you are giving us and am looking forward to more great ideas from your channel. Thank you so much 💕
Sasha - I am glad you are here! I am about to do a little vid about fasting, and how important it is. Out of interest, why is your calorie count 1600? And yes - I totally get the thing when everyone else is unhealthy around you - find your tribe and trust what you are doing - video coming on that.
@@sophieuliano7955 Hi Sophie, thanks for the reply. My goal weight is 155-160. and I am 5'5". I've lost 35 plus lbs and I have approximately 60lbs yet to lose. I break the 1600 calories into 800 calories per meal doing Intermittent Fasting (2 meals per day). I do eat a little more on (M,W, F) the days that I am walking outdoors. I do really like I F because it helps me burn fat for fuel instead of glucose. So, before I eat my 1st meal at 10:30 I exercise to maximize fat burning and again in the evening before dinner and this has helped me lose the 35lbs.
What to eat has been my biggest challenge especially since I am eating differently than anyone in my home. Also trying not to make my grocery budget overwhelming buying for myself and family.
Hi! I used to have the 5 easy dairy free breakfast recipes downloaded and I cannot find it now. When I try to download it comes up with a url error. Can you help me out please?
If I could look like you in 10 yrs, I’ll be happy 🙋🏻♀️ (I don’t mean to actually look like you, but I think you know what I mean 😂). You look youthful, amazing and beautiful plus lovely energy. 💚
No, you do not need to worry about phytic acid. Actually phytic acid has some very important disease fighting aspects to it. The only reason you would need to sprout your nuts and seeds is to make them more digestible. Important for those with digestive issues such as Crohns.
Thank you for such a great breakfast ideas 🙏my question-should I grind hemp seeds before I use it ? because I find out they’re coming out the way coming in from my body 😄
I had no idea menopause could change my whole body, and you could eat things to help thyroids , the only thing I knew was my doctor tested my thyroids and told me they were good but I couldn't get rid of my belly ! Wow I'm going to change the way I eat !!

Wow these recipes look so yummy! 😊 I'm going to try them out! I'm 48 now & definitely in perimenopausal I'm exercising everyday, but i still feel tired & worn out. Do the chia seeds help with weight loss? 💗
8/27/19 / Good morning Sophie !!!! You look so pretty this morning, so fresh, and natural, I love it. Thank you for these great breakfast ideas, I am going to try them all. I have a couple questions ? My first question is : What is the name of the company you buy your powdered monk fruit from ? Where do you buy your gluten free granola from? I have heard of monk fruit, before, and would like to try it. I am also wondering do you sell a cook book for vegetarian meals ? Thank you Sophie. Carol Smith-Blum.
HI Carol - thanks for your message. The Monk Fruit Brand is Lacanto and you can find it on Amazon Prime. I get my gluten free granola from Trader Joes or Whole Foods. I am working on a cookery book, but I so recommend you join my upcoming plant-based challenge because you'll get 2 cookery books plus the entire challenge - and all for just $1 a day!! sophieuliano.safechkout.net/PPCSEPT2019INT
Great suggestions. I need to look at recipes servings/portions. The one recipe you had with the sour dough bread there was a lot hummus on there & then chickpeas on top- seems like a lot of calories? I have been trained to do high Protein(animal protein & eggs & low carb for years. Now going thru peri-menopause in mid to late 40s, weight is not coming off. I was thinking more plant based philosophy might jump my weight loss & reduce some animal bases proteins. Love to see a video of what you eat in a day. Thanks!
Sophie, I just love every single breakfast idea that you’ve featured in this video! Thank you! I’ve been plant based for almost 2 years and feel great, however I initially lost around 15 pounds but haven’t lost a pound since (and need to lose 40). I’ve been advised to avoid overt fats but I miss them so much! I notice you use a pretty hefty portion of nut butter, avocado, etc., and wonder what your thoughts are on these foods for people like myself who struggle to lose weight.
Hello Sophie, greetings from Warsaw/Poland I love your breakfast ideas. Thank you. I would love to eat chia pudding but I find it bitter. Do you or this lovely community have tip for this situation? Thanks a lot. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Hey Monika - you won't find it bitter at all if you use a sweetener. Now if you can't get the monk fruit sweetener that I show in the video, try a few drops of stevia.
Nooooooo - don't avoid fruits. You can eat low sugar fruits such as apple, pear, blueberries etc. They are good for you. You need the antioxidants. Keep eating them.
I just made this and it is sooo wonderful! I’m trying to eat more “whole-plant” so this was so helpful. Can you please tell me where you purchased your tofu holder?
Yes I can - and funnily enough, my videographer has that exact issue. He CANNOT gain weight. So we literally talked about this for 2 hours as we were shooting. Needless to say I made him eat all of the recipes!!!!
Thanks Sophie! I usually have oatmeal and have always wanted to try the quinoa porridge. I have tons of quinoa!!! 😁 And I always like to see what other people put in their Tofu Scramble. I can eat that for every meal 😆
