living close to town, one that i like that is easy, good for kids is Judd Trail/Jackass Ginger Pool in Nuuanu valley. Literally a 5-10 minute drive from downtown Honolulu
Hiked Manoa Falls twice, Diamond Head twice, and Makapuu Lighthouse once from your list. Also did Wiliwilinui and Crouching Lion hikes last year. Wanted to do the Pill Box hike but we didn't get around to it yet...
Pill Box is pretty nice. Great view, but so many people. Parking can be tight because it's in a residential area. Of course, Lanikai Beach is right there so it's a great place to hop in the water after the hike.
My legally blind uncle took me and his niece and nephew up Diamond Head, I've never seen an 84yr old blind man move so quick! While we were trying to catch our breath and take sip of water, he kept on truckin' outta site.
We just recently hiked Hau'ula loop trail and it was really nice and good for kids and pets as well. The most exciting part about it was the change in vegetations, felt like going through different seasons. Was pretty cool👍
I lived in Hawaii the first 50 years of my life and never did any of those!! Actually, I don't think the Makapuu Lighthouse was even open yet. I have driven to Kaena Point a number of times and just enjoyed the area. Not too many people and very interesting wild life. Plus massive surf... to look at anyway. I did hike with the Sierra Club but those weren't easy and I can't even remember where we went anymore. LOL

Good video, good choices, hilarious ... you ever tried being a comedian? Hiking in Hawaii is usually for older locals since younger people have sports and water activities. More tourists look for scenic spots.
@@HelloFromHawaii Comedians change over time ... what was funny 30 years ago is different from today's generation... you know the local crowd and can do the birthday party gigs on weekends for fun. I do same with magic and try changing with the times. You are a good communicator and I enjoy listening to your vlogs.
i did diamond head last year. i rented a bike and biked from downtown waikiki (i aint tryin to drive in that traffic lol). i didnt know the road i was going to be taking was a steep uphill bike ride :( so i ended up walking most of the way. that alone exhausted me. then throw all that climbing on top of it and i was near dead when i got to the top. but i DID get to the top! i got there about 4:30, so there wasnt a ton of people, and i had lots of shade thanks to the sun starting to go down. on the bad side, i didnt get any souvenirs from the little shop and all the food trucks were gone. if i ever go back, ill be more prepared
show some nature you’re talking about instead of you talking the entire length of the video. I understand your eagerness to be in front of the camera but hey...I subscribed regardless to show love
