Hey Guys What Do You Think Of This Set and The Mods!????! Timestamps to help you get around! Changing the Gun: 00:40 Removing Studs: 02:16 Tiling the Model: 03:30 Commander Cody: 04:16 Clone Gunner: 05:19 Overveiw: 06:38
One simple MOD I think could be really neat would be to give Cody the mini Palpatine/Kylo Ren hologram piece from the First Order Star Destroyer. Might be a tad oversized but Ill definitely be doing it if I get the set
I always wanted to have Lego Star Wars stuff as a kid but my parents never bought me any. Now I can have it as an adult, I'm filling my inner child's dream
Recently got mine at walmart. It was a rollback being priced at $112 instead of $140 and i say its really worth it. Made some huge renivations to the interior because i wasnt really a fan of it. Went with a command center kind of vibe since Cody is in it and added a holotable for a war map in the front part and the back is more suited for troop and weapon storage now. Over all a great set and one ive always wanted to get my hands on but childhood didnt give me that luck till my adult years.
(2:16) Despite being like 6 months late, there is a lore reason why the studs are green. There are different blaster types. In canon and Legends, there are roughly 4 blaster colors: red, blue, green, and yellow. Yellow is for mandalorians on mandalore. Blue, green, and red are normally used for wars etc. red is the cheapest which is why the empire commonly used it(yes f.o. just don’t like it). Blue is more expensive and more powerful. Green I forgot the reason but I assume that it’s used mainly for space crafts; example are the imperial light cruiser, Star destroyers, republic light cruiser, venator corvette, x-wings, arc-77s, a-wings, etc. that’s all.
It's all determined by the type of gas (fuel) used as energy for the blasters. Instead of taking a clip or mag of ammo like a real g.u-n (censored so I don't get shadowbanned by YT), Star Wars blasters are "reloaded" by placing a new energy pack into them. The out of universe reason is because the different colors just help distinguish who is who of course, but it's cool to see the logistics of things as well. For example, both the Empire and Rebellion heavily relied on stores of Tibanna Gas from systems such as Bespin and Ord Ibanna, and you can see that reflected in the red tinted lasers their blasters fire.
Mando have yellow because that's the color of there local gas, red happens to he the cheap ammo that is fine for basic everyday use, but isn't ideal for larger weapons, which is why the empire uses that, and then blue is just the best for ionizing the bolts, the republic used that because it's really useful against droids and electronic
And yet that only further proves his point about the studs being an inaccurate color, lol. Green is used mainly for spacecraft, and yet the AT-TE is obviously not a spacecraft. In both the PT and TCW, we see the AT-TE utilizing nothing but blue blaster bolts, from all 7 of its canons, so Lego has it wrong for some strange reason. Would've been such an easy fix beforehand for them, but oh well. And at least half of those actual vessels you listed never really utilized green blaster bolts in canon anyways, for the most part. They still utilized mostly if not entirely blue bolts, especially Republic-owned vessels since they are the good guys and they especially relied on and invested in the best of the best technologies and weaponry for their army because they actually cared for their own, unlike the Empire.
@@Vandicoup the guy is wrong, but let's not pretend that it would be any better a lego kit because they changed the studs to be blue, the fact is that the stud colors couldn't matter less
what you can do to make the big circle things on the middle legs look even better, is replace the macaroni tiles with curved macaroni bricks as shown in the tie bomber on the cockpit and the back
You should add a different piece with studs to the Gunner seat so the figure does slip around. Also, all the toes of the feet are facing the wrong way.
i think people complaing about the looks of studs and stud shooter on lego sets is the funniest thing ever. people need to remember that at the end of the day these are toys and unless its a UCS or MBS set they are market towards children who will play with them and will have play features like stud shooters or missle launchers and tbh they really don't look that bad
Play features are fine in most cases they are ignorable Stud shooters are a pain in the ass that take away from builds and when played with lead to lost pieces and whinging
Who has the money to give a kid a 140$ playset today? They should know it will be bought by adults who collect the sets for colections and army bildung
@@120tankkiller Dude just forgot Christmas and birthdays exist. I remember doing tons of chores around the house so I could earn the money for the more expensive sets.
I will note that firestar toys are low on stock due to a factory fire back in I thing it was either September or November but they are slowly rebuilding there stock and take a bit longer to be delivered
Honestly, I feel like we should as consumers, be demanding these higher quality figures without having to make custom changes for a more accurate character.
Do kids even like things that shoot? I definitely didn’t and just pretended things were shooting when I was younger. It kinda takes away from the imagination aspect by saying that kids need things that shoot
Hey tommy i don’t know the names for the other parts of the at te and i have it and i would like to do the mods i used macaroni piece but not the other and it would really help if you told me the name
The helmet decals on my minifigs from this set are so messed up... very uneven on top, on both sides of the fin of the helmet. And the helmet holes.... I hope Lego rethinks this.
