I think the sound of an Elephant death rattle will always haunt me, because I've killed a lot of Elephants. In self defence. There were hundreds of them. It was either them or me.

I played this on my brothers beginner trumpet (the first time I’ve used in 1 yr since I got a step up) and let me say the sound quality of a 5 yr step up and 10yr beginner trumpet are so far apart

Oh it’s short time. Everything it’s okay. Just play all time! In addition you should push more and more air when you play higher and practise C major scale with playing “higher - louder”. The most important is just playing at this moment.
