So basically, it's the following steps: 1. Make sure to have fuel set to Rich and ERS set to Overtake (personally, I set it to High but everyone has their preferences) 2. If doing a formation lap, keep your tires and brakes in the green 3. Make sure your revs are built to ~12,000 RPM or else you'll have massive wheel spin (over rev) or stall the car (under rev) 4. Release the clutch as the lights go out, but make sure to not do it too early, otherwise you'll get a penalty. Do it too late and you're eating dust. 5. *NO HEROICS INTO SAN DEVOTE PLEASE*
@@Mazotheman Diff to 100 applies more power to the rear wheels, giving you better acceleration, but an increased chance at losing traction. Diff to 50 gives you less of a chance at losing traction, but with slightly slower acceleration. If you're brilliant at managing wheelspin then by all means put your diff to 100, but most league racing setups have the Diff at no higher than 65. Time Trial on the other hand you rarely see below 80.
Veloce_Iza it actually happened to me a couple times that it would be the first session of the day without realizing I hadn't calibrated the brake pedal 😂 Wouldn't recommend braking for turn 1 when your brake can only go to about 40% haha
Emre Can Ünal with some wheels you have to completely press in the brake pedal to 100% before the session in order to register it, otherwise the game will not know to where the brake pedal can press and it will only register something around 30% despite you pressing it 95% for example
@@joelcolson9624 If you get a good start from pole I would move to the extreme inside, and go as fast a you can into the corner. You may run wide, but you at least avoid the divebomb more often than not.
Formation lap really doesn't care that much. As long as your tyres and brakes are neither red nor blue you should be good to go. And why 12k RPM at the start, the game itself tells you it's not optimal
I've found that for the first start phase it's much easier to make a clean getaway with Lean fuel mix, this ensures wheel spin is kept at a minimum. Perhaps I'm not good enough to make a launch at Rich mix but just my 2 cents worth.
Think it's really important to mention that turning traction control off makes a huge difference to anyone that still has it on as that really bogs you down even if you follow all of the above to the letter
interesting becuase the game itself is telling me at the start in the lower right corner that the ideal revs are around 10 000 - 11 000 RPM and if i go over its a bad start and overreving. This guide says 12000 RPM.
lol i was playing F1 2019 and i got into your lobby, you qualified 1st i qualified 2nd at silverstone, and i got a better launch but didn't hug the apex tight enough, and so i hit your rear tire resulting in me spinning XD
the way I beat the AI and online players off the start is to set my Fuel mix to standard and set ERS to low or medium. I then do the same procedure except a lot quicker because i'm in low ERS and standard fuel i get incredible traction and once i short shift to gear 2-3 I immediately put my ERS to high for the extra power and acceleration as from my understanding the ERS works better at gaining speed especially in the lower gears. So i'm in gear 2-3 with high ERS and i also put my Fuel to rich mix for once again that extra bit of power now that i have gotten the grip i needed!
Can som1 give the alternative for those of us that play without clutch cause,as soon as the lights go out the revs drop dramatically and it screws everything up.
I race with the cockpit cam n some cars don’t display the revs in numerical form, just the shift lights. If it’s possible, how would you tell that you’re at 12K rpm?
I don't really know if it is the case, but it would certainly be a very good argument as to why. Especially with 1000 horsepower underneath your right foot!
3:25 I can’t shift into first before the lights are out. I don’t know why, but I have to shift up from neutral after releasing the clutch. I tried to deal with it by putting the clutch on the downshift pedal and use both at the same time, but it’s not ideal. The AI even put me in reverse once when it took over after the formation lap. That was fun. Any advice on solving that?
Any chance you or anyone knows what the optimal rpm is for gran turismo? or how to get good starts in that game? that would be very helpful, thank you!
me and my friend HelloitsHero have some traction issues. He drives pretty well what you see in his videos, but i am Spinning quite often. i already set the differential lower but i still struggle. barely are able to compete with Ai on 100 . i still struggle so much to improve and dont know what to do
That's all well and good for those who use a wheel and pedals, but for those of us who don't have that luxury, it's virtually impossible to have that kind of precise control of the throttle with a gamepad!
I have a problem where the clutch in the game doesn’t work, I just have to wait until the lights go out and put it from neutral to first but there’s a small delay before it even lets me do that and I always lose a ton of places
@rayner1399 When you go in the game it should be in your mail box in the bottom left hand corner. If it isn't aarava hat made a video on it. Also the fist part of your question they have made the AI have slower starts
I've always felt that having fuel mix on Lean and ERS on Hotlap, 12k rpms, launching and then gradually or quickly sending the fuel mix to rich gave me the best starts to minimize wheelspin Then again who're the Esports drivers and who's the non who plays on a $12 swivel chair
I’m sorry to say it but... IN TURN 1 I DIVE IN FULL HEROICS MODE AND I GET P1 AGAINST MY WHOLE LEAGUE KEEP IN MIND THESE ARE SEMI PRO PLAYERS And I’m just some 12 year old
i race with a ps3 controller which means i can only go full throttle and full braking. having good starts are nearly impossible because you can only max out the refs on the start. does anyone know how to have good starts with a ps3 controller
