great video! i was pleasantly surprised when i heard the digital oscillator. it sounds exactly like the electricdruid VCDO wavetable oscillator, all the more strange that there is no information about it on the website. IMO two of these digital oscillators are really funny to patch and it's a pity that only one was installed in the complete system. It is nevertheless a very beautiful and fantastic sounding system!
It is the electric druid wavetable chip you find in some other devices, like the Frequency Central Klang Stadt. I haven't had two of those here together to patch together, curious to try it now.
Hello, I'm curious what's the perception of a sponsored vs non sponsored video? Why does it matter or one better than the other? I can talk more about it but I'm just curious what you make of it. Thanks! :)
@@DivKid Hello Ben. I had this perception and the idea of telling it because you mentionned it in the description. To me a non sponsored video is more about something you want to talk about because you really like it. And yes it will give me the perception of something more valuable. It is just really a feeling and it doesn't meanning that your other videos are bad. I really like any of your content, even the sponsored ones but this one has something more special

I only take on sponsored videos for things I've tried, tested and want to talk about it just means I have some sort of agreement with the manufacturer in place if they're sponsoring the video. So the feeling for me is the same but it's good to hear about how different people watching the videos feel too.
I took a peek at the Wavefonix web site, and I'm not sure I understand the options on this rack. One can choose "6-channel linear mixer" or "6-channel audio mixer". One can choose three different filter options. It's not clear (to me, anyway) how I would make these choices.
I mean, I do understand that one mixer is DC-coupled and one is AC-coupled, but as I'd use them to mix audio, which both can do, how would I choose? (I do realise these are questions I should pose to them, rather than you!)
Hello, get the DC mixer. DC coupled circuits can process sub audio signals such as modulation or offset voltages. AC coupled circuits block out sub audio signals. You're fine mixing audio in a DC coupled mixer but then you can also mix CV (with the audio or separately). So get that one. RE the filters ... listen to and research what each filter is and decide for yourself as it's all subjective. The 2040 was in the Sequential Prophet 5 (2140 is an update of that component), 2044 was in the Korg Monopoly and Polysix (2144 is an updated one) and the CEM3320 design has been in lots of classic synths from the likes of Oberheim too. I'd reach out to Wavefonix about the filters if you're unsure and they can outline some differences for you too.
No. It's not a common module type (very few exist) and not part of modular systems generally. People would look to MIDI devices typically for that or functions built into sequencers.
