Wow. I'm a decade-old user of EN, and I never knew about that "Switch to" key combo. VERY useful. Incidentally, my ignorance was because, until recently, I had to use the Web interface. I'm a Linux user, you see. Thankfully, the EN team heard our anguished cries for a Linux client, and I'm currently a beta tester! This key combo works!
Great to hear! Would love to get more information on how is the Linux client doing. As for the "Switch to", I still believe it would be an important addition to the web cliente. So much so that early today I added it as a request on the Feature Requests session of the official forum. If we get enough votes, it will jump to the beginning of the queue. You can up-vote it by clicking the link below 😉 discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/142439-please-bring-switch-to-to-the-web-client/
1. ctrl + opt + cmd + space bar to find a note from anywhere. Not just from Evernote because i use it a lot for file system so it replace Spotlight (or Alfred) 2. the gtd system i use with the new tasks. And the cmd + t to create a new task fast. Unfortunately, there are no keyboard shortcut to create a task fast like we can do on things 3. 3. Ctrl + cmd + N to create a note from everywhere. This is why evernote is amazing. 4. The new feature which is old and abandoned actually is Skitch with the command : shift + cmd + 5 to take a screenshot and annotate directly + automatically upload to Evernote. (still in test for me. I use cleanshot as my primary tool to take screenshot but maybe skitch will replace it) 5. Pin notes, stacks, folder etc.
I use Evernote as my filing cabinet, so everything and anything to do with my house is in there. Bank statements, invoices, images or PDF scans of receipts for warranty or claims... everything. And I Tag them with something like "Tax2021-22" for that particular financial year (Aus has non-calendar year financial years). Come tax time, I click the Tag for that financial year and export every single note to a folder, then email them to my accountant, and they process my return. If you have multiple properties, use Tags for those to determine one property at a time to make it easier on the accountant. Love your video background by the way... very calming. P.S. I use the "email to" feature of Evernote a lot! Add @Notebookname and #tagnames to the subject line and BOOM they are in the right folder with the right tags. You can always edit them later inside Evernote itself.
Hi Brook, thank you for sharing your system with the community. As for the email-to feature, to be honest, I used to use it more in the past. Nowadays, I'm more inclined to use the Gmail add-on. And thank you so much for the kind words about my background.
