My Canadian visitor visa was refused after two years of waiting time. I applied in 2020 and got rejected in May 2023. Then I raised the webform for reconsideration and last week end of September 2023, I suddenly got an email that I have a new message in my IRCC portal, when I logged in, they sent a message requesting for original passport. Now I submitted my passport to the VFS office it's been 3 days and waiting for my passport 🎉😊

I think that made them approve my visa. 😊

Recently one of my closest friend's study permit (TRV) was rejected from Bangladesh for a 2-year master's course on 2 grounds: 1) Country ties are not strong and 2) Purpose of study is not consistent. She is an only child and my father and mother are my sponsors. I am a job holder for over 5 years and also paid 1 year's tuition fees in advance as well. Hi Team, would like to seek advise on my current situation.... My Spousal Open Work Permit was refused on Nov 12th 2023... I came to Canada in Sept 2021 through Intra company transfer from India... This year they informed to me that due to project constraints and budget issues, they are transferring me back to India... Since I was living with my common law partner, based on his PGWP, I applied for Spousal Open Work Permit... But I received the refusal letter on Nov 12th 2023 stating since I have valid Closed Work Permit status until Feb 2026 (we had not mentioned in the application that I am losing the job over here and that is the main reason for applying the SOWP)... Now I have raised for the reconsideration stating the details along with resignation letter... Received the acknowledgement on Dec 1st 2023 that my file is sent to the officer and it all depends on the officer for reconsideration approve or reject... May I pls know how long will it take for the officer to respond if my application will be reconsidered or not? And in this case will the officer reconsider my case or not?

Yes, if you are applying for a visitor visa, then proof of enrollment in your educational institute in your country of residence will be helpful to show ties.

Hi rashid. So if isn’t logical to go on tourism if you have 6k cad, would 10k cad be more logical and realistic? Or should it be more than 10k for a 8 day trip
It depends on a lot of factors, your employment, your travel history, your country of residence. If someone is from a country with low approval rates, and all they have is 10k, then this is not good.

@rashid_ali I (ICT) and my Spouse (OpenWP) has work permit visa already which is valid till Nov 2 2024, I have applied for a visitor visa for my dependent daughter who is 7 months old. But they have refused two time with the same reason purpose of visit is not consistent.
