DON'T APOLOGIZE, Thomas, for presenting your science findings!! U DA MAN!! Those of us who truly appreciate your hard work and research are GRATEFUL FOR YOU!
Summary: 1. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) + Lemon => You can eyeball the ratios or after taste. On 1 Liter half a lemon plus around 3 tbsp - that's what I do (well, I don't measure it so...) 2. Black Coffee - Classic 3. Green Tea => Preferably matcha from Japan. 4. Cold Salt Water => Don't make it too salty. 5. Ginseng Tea => Never tried it so no insight.
Cold water makes me feel so sad inside. Like, hold on folks we have a major internal body temperature imbalance to balance out. Time to get unmotivated with cold water. Lol that's just how it feels idk if there is any research.
I use mineral salt in my water during exercise. It contains sodium, Potassium, magnesium and iodine. I also use ir while cooking instead of table salt.
I do a lemon/ACV water first thing in the morning, then green tea with collagen, coffee maybe 2 times a week. I woke up this morning and went from 208 lbs to 197 lbs. I started at 217lbs Jan 01 , 2020. I do KETO/OMAD, I am fasting 24 hours and I workout 3 times a week with power bands and yoga every other day. This is my new lifestyle. It is doable and this works for me. Everyone's body is different, and will respond different.
I used to come home starving after work and not eating for long periods. After keto I feel like I can go days without eating and now eat mainly for vital nutrients and protein. The extra good fats work wonders
@@lindabell6954 actually not eating until you are really hungry is very beneficial. We used to do it thousands of years ago every day. Human growth hormones, and autophagy kick in after prolonged periods of fasting. Starvation may sound like a terrible word but it doesn't have to be. If you haven't tried keto and intermittent fasting I highly recommend it.
@@lindabell6954 it takes 60 days for the process of starvation to begin. Just because she didn't have a snack after work doesn't mean she's starving. We need to stop using that word so loosely.
I’m doing keto right now. I hit a plateau and watched a few of your videos, I’m not going to lie I was skeptical at first but I broke the plateau in less than two days. So you’ve got my attention Mr. DeLauer.
I love you Brother! You make these videos soooo freaking neat Ive watched probably every video at least 3 times! My mother retired as a nurse and she comes to ME for nutrition advice and thats ALL from you!! 💚🙏🏽🧡
Dude, thanks, I'm 6'4 and after letting myself go to I'm one month in and with so much of your good advice and encouragement and being strict about clean keto, and with plenty of IF I've lost 15kg/33lbs, down from 152kg / 335lbs to 137kg/ 303/lbs today and feel great and will defiantly keep at this for a long time.
Thanks man for all of the help. You and your videos have been my best friend throughout this transformational journey. They’ve definitely made a difference. Feeling the love!
This is very useful information and is greatly appreciated! Anything to enhance the fasting experience is positive news for us believers! Thank you, Thomas!!!
Hey Tom. Thx great video. What about the fructose in the lemon. I usually add the juice of a 1/2 lemon to my ACV ( as well as turmeric, ginger , and cinnamon.
Love the advice. I however cant do coffee. I am cyclothimic. Caffeine makes me cycle between mania and depression faster. I drink tea instead because it has l-theanine and it helps counteract that effect. Matcha all the way when i must have caffeine
👍👏👌💪🙏🇺🇸 1. Apple cider vinegar with lemon juice combined. 2. Black coffee. 3. Green tea- SWEET MATCHA sugar-free. 4. Saltwater. 5. If you crave sweets drink salt with water. 6. Ginseng tea.
"Whoa...what's going on here?" Lol Oh I dnt know...Thomas just filling our heads w great info! Thanks a lot btw. I'm now a lean mean fighting machine! I feel and act like 30 at a young 61!
Debbie thanks for commenting on your age. I am 62 and love to be healthier. I have fifty pounds to lose also. Can you give me the specifics of what worked for you? Please & thank you.
Thanks for sharing. Recently started prolonged fasting. 4 times of 48hrs and just finished first 72 hours fasting. Planning to try 5 days and ginseng tea would greatly help 4th and 5th day, I believe. Once again thanks Thomas!
Love your videos. What ratio of lemon to acv to water do you recommend for best results? Most of my fasts are 16 hours unless I'm running a tight schedule, then they are 12 hours. How many ounces of each drink during a fast is necessary to make a difference? Could you combine the salt with the lemon and acv to make a sport drink while working out ? Keep geeking out, I love science
Thomas. I have recently heard that Bragga ACV is not recommended anymore because they have started diluting it, and it now has five percent acidity. Would love your thoughts on this. Love your videos, thank you and your wife for all the information.
What sort of recipe ideas would you suggest to make the combination of apple cider vinegar and lemon in the drink that you recommend on this video? I. E. What ratios of each ingredient would we use?
Thank you Thomas for this informative video and for the work and research you do to keep us up to date with the science behind why these things work in our bodies!
You’re always so helpful and informative. Thank you. I wonder whether it’s safe to drink apple cider vinegar. I’ve heard it’s better to mix with water so it doesn’t burn your throat? Is this true?
Jere Vickers Actually thats not the best advice. ACV, which i take daily temporarily strips a protective later off of your teeth and then brushing immediatly after slowlu damages your enamel. They say to wait 30 mins to brush your teeth after doing ACV. Always RINSE your mouth to partially neutralize acidity on teeth but wait a lil bit before brushing.
I have got tea like 5 times in my life... from now on , I'll try more green tea then to alleviate the cravings during my fasting ... Cool.! Thanks Thomas.
Mixing Green tea + Lemon or Coffee + Lemon, or all three combined, will it have better impact to our body metabolism or produce a different result? I love all three.
@@mrmalone28 lol...no. Look at guys like Mike O'Hearn who everyone says "natural". If Thomas was on roids he would be ripped as hell with muscles having muscles and 5% BF.
Do you dilute the apple cider vinegar before drinking and how mucn and how often do I take during intermittent fasting. Thank You. Love what you do. Very informative.
Careful where you source your green tea! In China they have a high level of fluoride in the ground and transversely in the tea. Japanese sources should be fine
Ha! I'm doing things right. 1 teaspoon ginger juice, 1/2 squeezed lemon juice, 2+ teaspoons ACV, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon potassium all mixed in a tall glass of cold water. I drink this in the morning, but I think I may even start drinking another glass before bed. And, 18-20 hour fasts 4x per week with 2-MAD. I am 77 and I feel great!
The science is great! Never stop, how far you dive into it idk how to even find half that info. I've tried researching some of this stuff before and always found general information. @thomasdelauer
Either take them with food or take them when you are in ketosis they should temporarily drop you out bc of the calories. But its no biggie 5-10 calories shouldn't take too long to get rid of.
Depends on how you define fasting. Technically, yes, but since some "fasts" suggest up to 500 calories on the "fasting" day, versus. a couple of thousand calories on a normal day, a few calories here or there are negligible in the big scheme of things. I go for three of four days at a time, and I need the omega threes from fish oil to stay healthy (personal issue - not relevant to all). The few calories I get from fish oil don't stop me from dropping weight like a stone when I fast.
I hear a lot about coffee and fasting, but how much? Is there a point at which too much would kick you out of a fasted state (autophagy, etc)? 20oz? 30oz? 50oz? Any research on that?
