HOw's she goin'? That's for sure Steve!! One of the things I like most about a tractor is the fact that you can add so many 'mods' and 'add-ons' easily. Take care!!
Except tractors today come in more colors than just black, like the Model T did. You'd think Mike's height gauge on the rear would be a factory standard to tell the height of an attachment from the cab. I see a patent coming.
Those are all great add-ons, Mike. Challenge accepted, although mine will be a mix of personal add-ons and purchased attachments. I will get the video out late this week or early next week. Have a good week.
How's she goin'? Rick I don't think there are any rules as to what the add-ons need to be. They can be anything that you put on the gtractor to make it more you and yours!! LOL Thanks for accepting the challenge and I'm looking forward to seeing what you are going to show us!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks for your prayers and concern for Nannie. She is not progressing as well as we would like so you're prayers are appreciated. The mods and add-ons are fun to do and in my case, for most of them at least, don't cost too much. LOL They make the tractor a lot easier and fun to use too!! Take 'er easy!!
Great little tractor 🚜 Great add owns! Love those Massey Ferguson! That's what I have! Mine is a 75 model 135 great tractor's! We are always praying for Nannie 🙏 🙏🙏
How's she goin'? Thanks for the prayers for Nannie. They are powerful Mike, and we appreciate them very much!! The MF135 has got to be the best looking tractor of all time. It seems to be just the right proportions in everything. Wheel height, wheel spacing, seat height. It just looks so nice, plus, since it's a Massey, it's a work horse too boot!! LOL Take care!!
Good evening Mike, my favorite of your favorites was the bucket level indicator. A very creative solution. It was a great creature comfort list. The back up camera is pretty fancy. Have a good one, Ben 🚜👍🍻
Good day eh!! Thanks Ben. The back up camera is some handy in winter. My back would be in pretty bad shape after blowing snow for a couple of hours. All these mods are easy and cheap, and are made mainly with 'stuff' I had around the shop. All except the camera. I had to get Amazon involved in that one!! LOL Take 'er easy!!
Good video tonight...I don't have a tractor but who knows eh! Passing along hints or tips to your viewers is really great & I'm sure you get a lot from them. Little things like that can save you lots of money. Got a kick out of your white board, see you Friday...love ya!
How's she goin'? This challenge series is great for getting ideas for future mods to make to our tractors!! Plus we get to promote other channels as well. Take 'er easy and thanks for inviting me to the challenge!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Ed. I like to make things for the tractor that I think will help me operate it better. And making the add-ons is way more pocket book friendly too eh!! I sure am getting lots of ideas for more mods from all these 'favorite five' videos!! I hope you are liking your new place. It sure looks sweet!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks for watching and commenting. Add-ons are a great way to personalize your tractor and make it work better and easier!! Take care!!
"makes a good Chicken Bar" LOL love it Mike! You are the best - keep up the good work, love your videos - some great add-ons. I need to add the camera to my sub compact and skid steer.
How's she goin'? The 'chicken bar' has been used for the exact purpose many times!! LOL You'll love the rear view camera on the skid steer. I think it would be great on there. It must be hard to see out the back on those as you are enclosed pretty good when you get in them. Good luck with the camera and I hope it works good for you!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Marc!! The 'stubby' forks work great for picking logs and moving small items. I have a plan to put a grapple on the bucket and have it close down on the forks. But not too sure when that'll happen!! LOL Take care!!
Great video on the add ons Mike! I was going to invite you but the guys beat me to it lol. I’m working on mine now. This is a fun little challenge. Take care
How's she goin'? Thanks Russell. I was going to invite you too, but I'm glad you're in on this. It is a great idea for us to show how we make our tractors better for us and easier to use eh. I'll be looking forward to seeing your addons!! Take 'er easy!!
I like your creature comfort upgrades. You inspired me many of the one I did on my side. No wonder they are going to be a few featured on my video. I was wondering what I can do to have a rear view in my excavator... seems I got the answer watching your video!!! I've been quite busy recently, away from RU-vid. I am in Oregon this week, but should be able to make that video this weekend! Thanks Mike!
Salut Joe!! Sounds like you're busy for sure. Good kind of busy I hope!! That would be an interesting trip to Oregon. Lots of wood cut out there eh!! The rear view camera is pretty nice. I made sure I got a bigger monitor too, just to make sure I could see things better!! Take 'er easy!!
Great video . I enjoy seeing what you come up with to make your tractor better. I also have added a handle on my tractor to make it easier to get on and off. When you get as mature as you and me sometimes we need a little help getting on and off stuff. See you on the next one and God bless.
How's she goin'? You're so right Ronnie. I said I was wearing out the steering pump mounts but in actuality, I just needed help getting on the tractor!! LOL God Bless You Ronnie and take 'er easy!!!
Great modifications…I have the same tractor and really got some great ideas from your earlier videos on mods to the little GC2300. I just got a new MF2850 as I was working the little GG way too hard…but she took it like a champ! Really enjoy your videos Mike. Hope all is well with yourself and Nanny.
How's she goin'? Some nice comment and thanks for dropping in tonight!! I have mad a lot of mods to the GC2300. They all help in one way or another and were pretty easy to make too!! How are you liking the 2850? That's a nice machine. I have had thoughts of upgrading, but then I end up doing a job that a bigger tractor would not have the room to maneuver in to get it done, so I stay with the GC2300!! Thanks again for tuning in and take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks Brock!! Not too sure how I could get along with my GC2300!! It'll do amazing amounts of work if you take your time. Take 'er easy!!
The add ons make a big difference for sure. My favorite is the flag you have to make sure the bucket is level, that is always an issue. Thanks Mike. Stevo
Good day eh and thanks for watching. I'm glad you liked the 3 point height gauge. I use that a lot in winter when I have the snow blower on the back. The back up camera and another one that sure comes in handy with the snow blower on. Take care!!
How's she goin'? The backup camera is pretty nice alright and the bucket level indicator is simple but it sure gets a lot of use on my tractor too!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks for watching my video. The back up camera is a nice add to the tractor. I mounted mine on a piece of flat bar connected to the ROPS and to be honest, it vibrates too much. I like where it's located but I need to make a more secure mount for it. When it vibrates, sometimes even with camera stabilization, the picture is just to wavy to be useful. Here is a link to a video where I show how I mounted my camera: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3EzYut3c5Ts.html Good luck with mounting your camera and I hope you like the system. What kind of tractor do you have? Take 'er easy!
Good afternoon Grampie. All great mods that you have done. You pretty much made do with what you had. Your mods are something that anyone who is handy at all can make themselves. The camera was only real expense that you had and they are pretty reasonable. You gave me an idea for my 2520 John Deere. When I plow out my neighbors, I have to get pretty close when backing up and that would save on my neck. I remember watching each video as you did these mods. The only possible thing that you could do to improve on your little tractor that I can see is to cover up the Massey Ferguson decals with Kubota stickers 🤣🤣🤣 Sorry Mike. I just couldn’t help myself. I have some of the video done and now I have to go in and change it. I had challenged Joe@ From Steel To Wood, and Rick@ Twin Brook Acres. Thanks a lot Mike 🤣🤣🤣 Love your view of that lake. You and Nanny are truly blessed.
How's she goin'? Great comment Gary!! Well except for the part about covering up the Massey Ferguson stickers with Kubota ones!! And I thought you know about tractors!! LOL Nannie and I sure are blessed to be here at the lake. Even with all the trees gone it's still pretty darn nice looking out at the lake every day!! Take care!!
How's she goin'? Thanks John!! The rear view camera sure helps with the twisted neck!! It was tricky to catch onto for backing up though!! LOL I almost hit the shelter a couple of times before I half ways got it figured out!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks for taking on the challenge Arles! It's good fun and a great way to promote other channels plus get to see some awesome mods and ideas for our own machines!! Take care!!
How's she goin'? Welcome to the channel Some nice that you dropped by. Yes I tend to make as many 'add-ons' as I can because they cost a lot of money to buy and money seems to be one thing I can't make very well in the shop!! LOL Most add-ons can be made from 'stuff' that is kicking around the shop and in our way. Do you have a tractor? What kind? Once again, I appreciate you watching and I hope you can come back again soon!! Take 'er easy!!
How's she goin'? Thanks for watching Neville. These little mods were easy to make too and that's one of the things I like about having a tractor, it's easy to make the 'add-ons'!! Take 'er easy!!!
Good 5 add-ons. I liked the winch and the battery charger extension cables too but that would be 7 ! I hardly recognized you Mike, without the numbers on your shirt! The backup camera must really save your neck and back when out snow blowing. I remember the install. All the best and please pat your squirrels for me.
How's she goin'? Thanks Craig!! BTW I have no numbers on my shirt because I'm in the witness protection program!! I had the battery cable connections in the first cut of this vid, but like you mentioned, that would be 7 so they are on the cutting room floor!! LOL Take 'er easy!!!
@@GrampiesWorkshop Homer Simpson is in the witness protection program too. He goes by the name John D'oh ! The cutting room floor is full of wonderful ideas. I edit so much fluff out to only bring you the very best! haha You didn't mention your squirrels...Are you still keeping them in the camp?
How's she goin'? Thanks Drew!! Gator was already challenged and Steve's tractor is at his camp and I wasn't sure if he was up there or not!! Take 'er easy!!
another great video. I like the back-up camera....beats a chiropractor...lol. When using your back-up camera for snow clearing, does it stay clear enough or does the blowing snow obstruct the view?
How's she goin'? Glad you came back to check out this video!! The back up camera is really nice. Took some getting used too but it's good now. No issues with snow build up on it either. Thanks for watching and asking!! Take 'er easy!!
Hi MIKE: thanks for your add on will try to apply to my gc 1705, 2019 model ,have you any idea how to read that eye glass for hydrolic oil on the back of my tractor. I think I may have over filled it,,thank you again,& keep those fantastic ideas coming.,!!!
How's she goin'? Thanks for the nice comment Greg!! The hydraulic oil level gauge is poison to check eh!! What I do is back my tractor up onto a bit of elevated ground and see if the oil level goes below the glass. It's still hard to see but you can kind of tell if there is no oil there. Over filling can cause seals to start leaking as the pressure builds in the gear case, but if you are a bit above the glass I don't think it would be too bad! Good luck checking the level and take 'er easy!!
