I’ve been wanting to try Rouge Trafalgar since it came out. I miss spending an hour in Saks sniffing different fragrances. Be forewarned, Red Tobacco is an absolute beast!😄

Rouge trafalgar blown my mine, I smell it last year and I was like this will be my first buy for the spring. Don’t also sleep on oud rosewood as well it is a fresh woody scent , there is nothing ouddy about the scent.
I have not received an email from Areej le Dore about the release of Chinese Oud and when I click on his website all I get is the message "Opening Soon". I hope I'm not going to miss out on the release of this fragrance.
I'm not sure what happened, but when i went back to the Areej le Dore website just a few minutes ago it opened and it had a notice that Chinese Oud was going on sale at 10:00 AM LA time. When I went to the site it was 9:59 AM LA time, so I got my order in as soon as it went on sale. If I had not caught this video when I did, I would have probably missed my chance to get this fragrance, so I would like to thank you very much for the heads up.

I love ya Ryan, but you botched the infamous Battle of Trafalgar...LOL! Here's a little help: www.howtopronounce.com/trafalgar Anyway, this one looks interesting (please review it) but I've steer cleared of the new Christian Dior Collection because they don't perform well on my skin, and I wasn't impressed with the few I have tried. I just love how all my old La Collection Privee kick like a mule. Speaking of kicking like a mule...not beastly like Black To Black, but it performs well like so many of the heavy-hitters from Mancera. The opening kicks like a mule, is a bit pungent, and fills a small auditorium...but the the drydown (all 16-hours) is smooth as silk. I've had my bottle a few years and here's my take on it: Mancera Red Tobacco is a stunning fragrance, that is masterfully blended, and I love each facet from the opening, to the heart, to its gorgeous drydown. This is an extremely masculine fragrance done right and that commands respect. Well-done! As with many Mancera fragrances, Red Tobacco opens aggressively as it oozes testosterone and pheromones wherever it was applied to my skin. In the process, I am repeated whacked about the neck and shoulders with masculine waves of spices, woods, cinnamon, sweet-incense and that oud-saffron Mancera DNA that reaches-out, grabs two fists-full of chest-hair, and yanks them out by the roots. By the roots...bloody roots, no less! Such an opening will leave the boys and girls withering in pain and crying tears of great sorrow as this fragrance will punch these people in the face and piss in their bowl of Wheaties. Simply stated, Red Tobacco is not a fragrance for the faint of heart or wimps, gimps and chimps! You have been warned... Initially I do not sense a strong tobacco accord (mainly the spices, dark-woods, sweet notes and Mancera DNA) but within a minute or two a smooth-as-silk, spiced-honey, tobacco vibe begins to emerge. It's still aggressive. but think of Red Tobacco as being Mike Tyson sporting a dinner jacket as this stage. If you hold your head-up confidently and don't make strange faces nor eye-contact, then you'll live to enjoy the experience. Look directly into the eyes of Red Tobacco and you'll be spitting out your teeth like a box of Chicklets Chewing Gum. Assuming you've kept your mouth shut and avoided making eye-contact, you may, like I did, experience momentary whafts of Pure Havane layered with Pure Malt during the first 30-minutes. I am not saying that Red Tobacco is a Pure Havane clone (that would be silly talk) but I am saying there is boozy, woody, spiced-honey, tobacco vibe that may trigger some of these olfactory memories. Over the next 4-6 hours this uber-masculine scent slowly, and I mean very slowly, transitions as the tobacco pushes forward as does the amber, vanilla and sandalwood making for a gorgeous creamy, spicy, woody, red tobacco scent. This stage is hard to describe, but it smells fantastic! However, Red Tobacco has saved its very best for last... After the six-hour mark, and well into the drydown, Red Tobacco transitions again and smells like a more potent, avocado sized doodads, big brother of Commme des Garcons Sequoia (dark woods, spices and a sweetness back with oud), which is one of my favorite fragrances of all time. Performance of Red Tobacco is Mancera-like in that it lasts an honest 14-16 hours on my skin and projects quite well for the first 3-4 hours, and leaves a nice scent trail, but it does not border into beast mode territory on my skin. Moreover, you will smell Red Tobacco for DAYS should you spray it on your clothes. Overall, I feel that Red 'Sequoia' Tobacco is the best release from Mancera during 2017 and it proudly occupies a place in my infamous Scent Armory. Although this is a manly-man fragrance, I'm sure a strong woman could probably rock this one quite well. As much as I love it, this fragrance is a definite "Try" because it will be a lot too much for some who are into the lighter, fresher tobacco scents.
