Great ideas man! So many times we end up dropping 2-3 monthly payments on modifications for the new bike. This is a nice approach to stave off some of those expenses
Yeah, I think it's a good way to make the bike look a little sleeker without having to spend anything, which of course we'll still do anyway because it's a Harley lol
None of these are mods man , mirrors bad idea on flat bars massive vision imparing , mod classicly used for apes , orange reflectors are shit agree but common sence to remove them , wire tuck is just visual common sence , and removing a belt guard will shaft u when a stone goes in and snaps ur belt and fish tails ur ass end , only mod u did was the reg plate holder
Absolutely love the look of the bike and have similar thoughts for my 883. Mind if I ask what seat you put on there? Didn't look stock to me. Thanks man and take it easy out there.
I always see comments like these and always wonder why the creator doesn’t respond. Almost like they’re gate keeping. Pretty sad. I don’t subscribe to, nor thumbs up videos that has this practice.
I did the mirror flip on my 2008 Sportster Nightster a couple of years ago. When I positioned the stock mirrors at their widest possible extension I had an excellent view of my knees! At that time, Harley Davidson had a matching set of mirrors with extended stalks which solved the problem very nicely and I didn't mind the cost of the mirrors. My Nightster has mid controls, which I much prefer, and the resulting leg position is probably why some of us have problems with stock flipped mirrors. Your forward controls probably give you a more unobstructed rear view with the stock flipped mirrors. You have a very good looking Sporty. Thank much for the other suggestions and I will likely do the license plate re-orientation as well as the belt guard removal.
Check and make sure these are legal in your state. When I swapped from a belt to a chain drive I left the guard off and it wouldn’t pass inspection without it.
What seat would you recommend to reach the controls better? I looked at Corbin but I want something comfy but a good reach seat that helps lower the height ladened. I'm trying to avoid lowering the clearance itself unless it is absolutely needed. Any advice would be awesome, I've only rode sports so far so this is my first on a Harley.
I don’t have a whole lot of personal experience with a ton of sportster seats, but by far my favorite on a sportster was la pera stubs seat. It was thin but still comfortable and had a nice backrest.
Did the mirror flip on my 07 sportster after seeing it done on so many others. Gonna order black ones though, can't stand chrome lol. Still looks cooler, and gives more of an open view when riding.
Did you replace the rear shocks with something like Burly 10.5"? It's sitting very low in the back 👍🏻 My 2012 Sportster Seventy-two has a 3" gap between the rear fender and tire. Will adjusting my preload lower the ride height with the stock suspension? Thanks
What tail lights are those I just bought a Sporster 1200 and the tailights on the bike now are horrible and so dim my buddy even tells me he can barely tell when I’m pressing the brakes
Hey man love the videos. I installed the same rpm cluster on my bike and i can't get to the setup menu holding the signals ive dried everything. Is there a trick to it?
I didn't realise you could do that with a regular license plate holder. We are so strict in australia that I don't think we are even supposed to have a side-mounted plate. So unfortunately I won't be doing it because iI already get pulled over or followed by police as it is
Right! So I have a few questions regarding the V&H short shots staggered, wanted to know if check engine light will come up after installing them and if so what can I do to avoid that? I just bought a H-D 48 2022 and I don’t want the warranty to get voided if I have to tune the bike. Please advise, thanks!!
@@paulolizarzaburu6962 I know that Harley might void the warranty if modifications have been made. If you've bought a new one, I'd reach out to your dealership to see if they would still honor the warranty if you tune/mod the bike. Each dealer is a little different so it's hard to say
If you're having to duck down in order to see your mirrors, then you did something wrong The flipped mirrors should make your view behind you better because you are looking under your arm Those reflectors are there for you to be seen
@@rugershooter5268The headlight is still very visible. But I do get your point, Im just saying that it's not a deathwish or anything, it's just making your slightly less visible. My biggest concern is if any laws would be broken on that one. Probably not, but I guess some countries/states might have an issue with it.
@@rugershooter5268At night? It's a giant cone of light, several objects on the road will reflect off it, including the road immediately surrounding the headlight.
Thank you for your response. Was it a simple install or did you have to do some modification. Are you also able to read the fuel level with this gauge and if so was it difficult to do?
@@niceshot4563 well that doesn't sound good. Get yourself a honda monkey then, i can ride mine 4-6 hrs and not feel totally beaten to death afterwards.
I had to get my bikes yearly inspection..was dinged for the amber reflectors not being on. Luckily I still had them,..went home and grabbed them and stuck them back on in the inspection lane. Just a little FYI..hang on to them!
@@IronBornRider Yeah I'm from MD originally and it's nice..I live in Delaware now so it's one year or two with a run through the inspection lane..1st time i was caught..haha
Sick build 🤟🏼 thanks for the tips, I currently have a 2017 48 same coat as yours, would you possibly have the link for that air filter, looks like an K&N brand?
