My son practices writing his letters and numerals with “magic rainbow writing” on the light table which is visually exciting. Adult prep - make multicolour stripes with pastel crayon on A4 sheet, place beneath a clear tray on light table, pour a thin layer of coloured sand into the tray hiding the stripes before switching on. Child can write in the sand modelling alphabet flashcards, sight words etc. (Can simply use a clear lid from a purchased supermarket lasagne, square cake or whatever)
