This is really well thought out demo video. The right amount of talking and playing. And it’s never one or the other for too long. Also, great sounds and playing 🍻
New sub here, Tis gas to be listening to a pedal review with a good oul strong paddy accent 😂 Fellow paddy here. Great review ta be fair to ya. Hoping to pick one of these tomorrow to try scale down my board and utilities midi functionality
Seán, I checked these out in the Neuro app. They sound great! I especially liked the lo-fi tape warble. I hadn't thought of that way to get the warble without delays with the Collider, and it's a sound I really like. I've used another pedal (Chase Bliss's Generation Loss) at the end of my chain to get some degraded tape magic, but I like having a similar sound earlier in the chain, too. Anyway, thanks for sharing them! Good job.
Hey Alex, cheers! The Chase Bliss stuff is really cool, I've been meaning to check out some of their pedals. I love their digital control over the analogue circuits. The source audio pedals have some really cool tricks up their sleeves! Thanks for checking out the presets man 🤘🤘
Hey Sean. I got my Collider yesterday and it's going to handle 90% of the delay/reverb tasks on my board (I'm using a GT1000CORE at the heart of the board). Of course I didn't read a single word of the manual so the answer is probably in there somewhere. That said, I'm using the Collider with both inputs and outputs. The issue I'm having is when I tap (I'm on .8th) it doesn't seem that the repeats coincide with my desired tempo. Also, I'm getting a ping pong thing. Not sure if there's a setting for this stuff. Any help is appreciated and yes, I will eventually read the manual. Lol. Great vid. Sub'd
Great demo! I’ve heard some folks complain about some noise/hiss coming from the pedal when activated. Have you noticed this? Can’t hear it on your or any of the other demos.
Is it true that the Collider's preset switching takes between 200 ms and 1 second (when using Midi / Effects Switcher)? I would need something like the collider for my live pedalboard, but waiting a second for the sound to appear is not okay at all. Do you have any experience with that? I've also read that the delay/reverb unnaturally stops immediately when turning the collider of - is that true?
How easy, without the app, is it to set the delay in milliseconds from the pedal? I "could" do it all from my Helix, but I like to setup a sound manually on a pedal, save it to a preset, then get the Helix to select the preset via MIDI. Great playing.....
I'm a huge fan of the Boss Digital delays. but I haven't played a Boss DD-200 yet. From my experience, the Collider gets the vote from me. Fantastic pedal and dual DSP allowing delay and verb or 2 delays and 2 verbs is incredible. Great unit!
