This quad has been brutal on gymnasts. I’m glad that the US was still able to put together a good team, but having 3 athletes go down at Olympic trials is heartbreaking 😭
@@jhonborges9199 claro que sí. Pero es muy complicado porque algunos gimnastas tienen contactos con universidades y espacios en los equipos respectivos.
Maybe. But shilese was good but I still say she wouldn't win or medal on bars because there are too many who can outdo anything she does including Suni
@@seansbookreviews2977Shiles was far and away the 3rd-best in the world on bars in 2023 and won silver in 2022. She upgraded her bars for 2024 and reconstructed her routine to minimize deductions. Had she hit has bars internationally this year, I have no doubt she would have broken 15 and been a front runner for a medal. Your comment is very ignorant.
@@seansbookreviews2977shi upgraded since worlds 2023 and put up a (domestic sure) 15.25 at classics. the only two people in the world rn who could beat shi were the two people ahead of her at worlds last year on the podium. she absolutely would have landed on the podium if she hit
@@jenniferli7295 it will still be one of the most exciting UB finals without shilese lol, the QQY vs Nemour fight for gold, Nina derwael,Suni,Becky Downie,Melanie DJDS,Zhang Yihan, etc will look for a place on the podium too
@@wonderglory I thought she competed, and then her only chance was to win 1st all around at Asian Games? I know she competed just before Asian Games. Was even doing floor.
It would've been wonderful had Gabby Douglas and Shilese Jones not been injured. It also would've been wonderful if Tiana Sumanasekera had made Team USA. (The last-mentioned gymnast is an American with Sri Lankan descent.)
This Olympics are going to be missing so many key players whether it's due to injury or the war in Ukraine. We've been deprived of what could've been the most competitive Olympics in a long time! I'm basically predicting a USA wash-up at these games as a result.
@@mariusa.5863 Guardate che hanno già deciso chi vincerà visto i giudici imparziali, VEDREMO COME ANDRÀ. MI SEMBRANO TROPPO SICURI DI CHI VINCERÀ!!!!!!
Brazil and Italy will challenge. May even see challenges from France, England, Canada and don't forget Nemour on bars, China on bars and beam. There will be competition. If the US has a beam rotation like we just had the second day of trials (three falls), anything could happen.
Ha, I forgot about Russia. I thought of all the others. The other Gadirova, Achampong, Ana Padurariu, Kayla DiCello - I know these might be consider a small step down from the 5 listed but still World, Olympic and European medalists.
With everything Shi been though, I was PRAYING everything would work out and she would become Olympic champion. Once she got injured, I now can barely think of an Olympics without her. Truly a sad ending to the quad. Hopefully she will be back and stronger than ever for 2028.
@@mariusa.5863i’m coming to a realization that if shilese were to be on the team, she will just get 2 per country out in the AA. maybe 4th or 5th in the UB finals.
All of these apart from Listunova are out because of injury. Listunova is out because Russia is banned from the Olympics. I think she might be injured rn anyway??
It's so sad that Ferrari will not compete at Paris 2024 cause she was going to make a really important contribute for the team in vault and most important on floor (where Italy lacks of difficulty). In training the DTY was gorgeous and she said she was really excited for the new floor music, I would have loved to see her new floor routine cause she always brings originality on floor
Eythora didn’t qualify? That’s a shame, she’s a wonderful gymnast!! Same with Shilese, such a shame. I knew Jessica wouldn’t- she still needs time for her knee to fully heal.
As far as I understand Russia has three different bans currently. They can register als neutral athletes but it is very difficult for them to get approved.
na teoria eles foram liberados, na pratica não. Entre as regras estava q eles tinham q competir como atletas neutros, não apoiar o governo... nenhum ginasta aceitou essas regras
She could've raced back if she wanted to, but she chose to not rush her rehab and is prioritising on prolonging her career. She'll be going for LA and so will Jennifer.
