Ironically, I think level 5 is more likely to traumatise a child than level 1.

The moment I heard the start of Level 5 I spit my drink out of my mouth. It was both unfathomably brilliant and hilarious.

Version 1 was nails on a chalkboard. Versions 2 and 3 were pretty. Version 4 was really good. Version 5 was like a whole ensemble and then some, with some jazzy chords thrown in. That's incredible. I wonder how many tracks versions 4 and 5 took!

i actually rewatch this video once in a while simply because of the arrangement of level 5. gorgeous.

I went to a music school and that pro level was legit how people sang it

You forgot: theatre version. That one kid starts riffing and embellishing all over the song, and then pushes everyone aside and signs the high not as a solo before everyone else rejoins and finishes the song. Oh, and you forgot: god version. The curtain parts to reveal a full instrumental ensemble accompanied by a concert grand piano with mozart himself playing it, and an 8 part choir, and angles, all of whom proceed to sing/play a perfect classical rendition of the song for you.

My wife's family actually sings like a 4.5 in this scale. I was in shock the first time I've heard it, I'm not kidding. And for her this has always been the norm and she still refuses to believe they are way over the top hahha

I would actually burst into tears if someone ever sang the fifth version to me. 1. I am affection starved 2. I'm autistic with a special interest in music, singing especially and echolalia or whatever it's called, meaning I'm sensitive to sound. So being able to de-stress with pleasant sounds would be heaven.

I was just at my aunt's birthday and she's an opera singer, and so was most of my aunt's guests and i must say. That birthday song was so beautiful with my aunt doing some jazzy improvisation on top.

Just so we're clear level 4 happens all the time when your family is actually a bunch of singers and everyone is used to singing in harmony together and therefore wants the melody hits everyone knows where they need to be in the harmony. so yeah it happens and used to happen with me and my family and even my church crew all the time. The funny thing is that usually if the crew was at a event or a party where there was going to be singing at some point, we would take over cuz we would actually know what we're doing haha. happy birthday cannot be song normally let alone badly in our presence. nah wasn't gonna happen
