That Pixie tip can make someone take it the wrong way. You're not required to keep Pixie or High Pixie itself, you can fuse them and still get the reward later. You just have to make sure you keep tabs on which demon Pixie is right now - for example, if you fuse her into a Nekomata, and that Nekomata into a Nozuchi and so on and so forth. As long as you keep the demon that has "Pixie blood", you'll be rewarded near the end of the 5th Kalpa. Mine was a Kali by the time I got there.

If you want the True Demon Ending, definitely go for a physical build. Oh, and some clarification on the Pixie tip: Either keep the original Pixie you (likely will) recruit at the start of the game or keep track of what demons you've used her to obtain through fusion. Ex: fuse Pixie with [x] to get [y], make sure you keep [y]. Fuse [y] with (for the sake of argument) Bicorn to get [z], make sure you keep [z]. Never dismiss them from your party and if you make it all the way through the Labyrinth of Amala, you'll get an incredibly powerful demon for your troubles!

This will be my third SMT (with the others being SMT IV and Strange Journey Redux), so I'm really looking forward to play it.

tip 7/8: DO NOT SLOUCH ON HP SKILLS! demi-fiend for good reason is a very powerful phys unit! and ALWAYS keep one healing spell on him as a emergency back up. Tip 8: Death. Resist. Get the satan and anathema magatamas. They give you 'void expel' and 'void death' skills, which you are going to need, especially if you're going for the true demon ending.

I’d also recommend never letting demons change skills of their own will, and have a late game team with null curse.

Keep Pixie, and use a fusion Calculator online if you still have trouble getting used to fusion

For those who want more help I would recommend nyarly as he is pure mega-ten focused as well he has gone through the whole of nocturne without buffs so I would recommend watching that series if you want to learn about some hidden secrets about the game such as the level cap of what happens if you keep pixie throughout the while adventure

Should have stated with leveling you can get A status bonus. Rare,but can happen. Same to the mystical chests on right moon phase.

Keep pixie to get level 80 pixie in the fifth kalpa

The easiest way to track is look at "The demon that is in the first slot of the party roster". That's the one with the pixie lineage. So long as you literally never try to dismiss the first demon in the party roster slot, getting the uber-pixie should be a none issue.

First Tip: WTF do you mean 'not worrying about recasting buffs as much'??? Past Matador pretty much any meaningful enemy can cast Dekaja/Dekunda, making buffing a constant part of the battles...

It is my first time playing SMT III and right now after some hrs (travelled to Ginza through the network and fused so demons) it feels more like the game is to easy. So far not one single fight have been even close to killing me and my demons and I play at Normal. Will it get more difficult soon or? :)
