5 HERMES Bags *ALL* Under €3500 in 2024 - Is This True???? 

The trouble with Hermes is that it is insanely overpriced. Take the picotin bag- it's a rough-edge, single layer piece of calfskin. Cut out with a clicker press (takes about 2 seconds), sewn and put together within 10 minutes. A very average leatherworking hobbyist should be comfortable to make this bag to the same standard as Hermes within 1 day with simple tools. Even if you bought the finest of the finest leathers out there (which this one is not), the bag would not be worth more than £200.

The really wealthy people must find it amusing to see all of us poors saving our dollars to afford a luxury purse with very little value other than showing-off to the other poors. But man, a new luxury purse feels so good to wear around town.

Videos with bag recommendations at more affordable prices inspire me so much. Please do it again this year as often as you can. They are my favorites. 🛍💞

hello Sophie, yes these are really the most affordable bags of Hermes. i bought my evelyne tpm in august 2022 and it was £1350, bought my picotin 18 in september 2022 for £2050 and got my herbag 29 in november 2022 for £1950. got them all in Harrods. i tried to score a mini lindy this month but i was unlucky.

Let's manifest your Constance this year Sophie!!! I have a Garden Party 30 and the full leather retails for $4000-4500 Canadian. It's so lowkey and very quiet lux.

Yes I bought the Evelyne of a couple years ago and the leather is slightly more than the felt. The felt TPM (smallest size) I purchased for roughly 1,700 USD

I Googled it - Hermes came out with the Garden Party in 1964 so Hermes was the originator of the design. 🌻

The main issue with the herbag is that is sometimes hard/annoying to open since the mechanism is quite time consuming . Hermes as you said rewards Client relationship

Tanner Leatherstein here on YT has really changed my mind on luxury! With luxury brands you’re literally just paying for the name and “status”. A good quality leather bag isn’t cheap of course but it shouldn’t cost you an arm a leg and jumping through hoops to get one. A Coach and a Chanel bag will do the same thing and have the same lifespan the only difference is in the name…

I love the constance like you but i also like the Birkin 30. I think it's a nice size...🎉

I do like the shape of herbag , it’s like a casual version of a kelly. but it is not easy to get in and out unless you leave the it open. It’s has a everyday look to it but not easy to use everyday unfortunately.

the only hermes bag i like is also the constance, but maybe preloved. i dont like the games hermes play

I sold all but my Garden Party 36 and my Constance wallet to go. I am the worst person when it comes to taking care of my bags. I toss my bag on the car seat, on the kitchen counter, on my dresser, etc. LV suits my lifestyle better. 😎🌺💕🐰

Interestingly enough… I was in Madrid over the summer and there was a Constance on display with the price $6400…I think… ICR exactly.. but I was shocked.

Who copied whom❓Two or three years ago I bought a Dooney nylon, florentine leather trim tote that is pretty much the exact same silhouette & features as the Garden Party. I paid $99.00. 🤔🌻

Evelyne 16 is correct :) you still need to be offered it though. I'm trying to buy a shoe and my SA has offered me Helia 60, let's see if this is something that's going to get me offered the Evelyne 16.

Hermes in Europe and the US have had a price raise for 2024.

I purchased the Picotin 18 for $3200 in dollars in late 2023. So a little more.

I absolutely refuse to play the Hermes game… I’m not spending $50,000 for the chance to be offered to give them another $30,000. This is insanity to me.

I think if people’s hearts are set on a bag /brand/ design, they will buy it regardless of any price increase. That‘s why these price increases do not deter customers in spite of loud online protest from clients. . If anything, it brings more exclusivity to the brand. Also, I learned the hard way that I will not be happy with “instead” purchases. In a few months, I am back to wanting the original item. My 2024 goal is not to buy but if/when I do, I’ll buy the actual item and not a lookalike. In the long run, it’ll save me money. Obviously, financial freedom is the ultimate goal but a bit of luxury along the way won’t hurt anyone :-)

I think that to assess if something is "worth it" or not one should go further than just resale value. Some people don't buy expecting to resell. Craftsmanship, materials used, quality of leather and hardware should factor in this type of avaluation. The picotin, for instance, is waaaaay overpriced for what it is. It's a piece of leather, no lining, barely any hardware, simple construction. How is that supposed to be a bargain???

Mmm.....Sophie as long as you are not in a hurry to get a Constance as it is becoming more rare than a Bikin or Kelly. Unfortunately the hype on social media to me does not make brand appealing any more. You can only carry one bag at a time. I have, Gucci, Louis, Hermes bags yet I carry this cute Primark cloth bag

A friend just bought the Picotin 22 for just under $4,000 CDN and that works out to $2,700 Euros

having shopped Hermes for over 15 years the thing that they do well is to stand behind the quality of their products. yes the prices are stratospheric but everything they make they will repair or if they can’t will compensate you in some way. so the quality of both the products and the service stand the test of time. but to each her own, the designs can be underwhelming and the wait times can be increasingly frustrating so it’s not for everyone. thanks for the bag prices round up sophie! happy new year 🫶🏼

Hermes just increased their prices. I’m so sick of all these ridiculous price increases. Although I can certainly afford Hermes, Chanel, Dior, etc I will definitely be reconsidering making a purchase. At this point unless I absolutely feel like I can’t be without it (the spoiled brat in me) they can shove these prices up their 🍑!

Other than the Constance there is nothing of Hermes that even interests me. I never ha e been a fan.

I love the Constance the most. But the price absolutely not.

£3440 for a mostly CANVAS bag?? Nope. That's $5850 CAD. I could take a really nice trip somewhere for that. Or pay off my car.
