Monica Creator ghost stories is gold. I’ve only seen the dub, but it’s worth it for the shitty 2000s pop culture references and little kids with incredibly dark humor. That show is great

From an interview (i think), the localization team said that there was no way to make a straight translation interesting or enjoyable (mostly because of the amount of Japanese myth and folklore they'd have to explain for people to actually understand), so they decided to make as fun and enjoyable a series they could with the base series.

You probably won't see this comment, but I highly recommend Level E. An excellent comedy satire and a great anime in general. Picture this, an anime about a irl troll, meaning a person who gets off by messing with people outside the internet. Now make that said person be some type of alien prince with seemingly unlimited resources so he can pull off whatever grand idea he has to mess with people, and you got yourself Level E. I feel like it's one of the most underrated animes out there. And it's made by Togashi, the same guy who did Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter.

I watch nearly all on Crunchyroll, and always try to discover series' through Crunchyroll so I don't get tempted to go to an illegal site to get any content they don't have. Definitely out of luck when it comes to some amazing shows though -classics like Evangalion included.

I wish that someone would recommend "I can't understand what my husband is saying", even though it is a short anime (about 6 episodes long), i personally found it great in it's own unique way. It revolves around a married couple, the husband being an Otaku, and the wife being normal (kinda). Due to him being an Otaku the wife has problems understanding him at times, but they usually get along very well. 8/10

Cromartie High School's gag "read the manga" is actually asking you to read the original manga, which explores/answers everything they didn't in the animation. I recommend reading because it explains why Kamiyama is pure evil and why no one stands a chance against him.

some other recommendations: -Space Brothers: A heart filled comedy about achieving your dreams. Bonus points if you like Realistic Space stuff. -haiyore nyaruko-san: a absurdist comedy about HP Lovcraft works (Cthulhu Myth). And A metric Fuck ton of references to Anime and japanese Pop cultur. I'd recommend The Devil is a Part Timer!? to anyone who likes showing like Konosuba. It's about a demon lord for another world known as King Satan who looses against the hero of that world and then ends up in the human world. He ends up as a part timer at Mg Ronold's. The series is 12 episodes long and is streamining on Netflix and has just come to Crunchy Roll as well. The dub is fantastic, and I've watched through the whole series like 8 times already, and still laugh my ass off every time. If I have one complaint, it's the fact that the series doesn't seem to have any plans for a season 2, despite having more than enough material to work off of for another 2 seasons pretty easily. I'd go into more about the series and it's characters, but honestly who the characters are is part of the gag. But I guess I'll spoil one just to prove my point. Lucifer (yes, the angel who nearly threw heaven into a civil war before he was cast out of heaven), turns out to be a total slacker with an addiction to gaming. He's also a hermit and has the social skills of Kazuma.

Totally. The fact that the Devil's greatest general becomes the world's most committed house-husband is one of my favorite parts of the series. Would highly recommend it to anyone who would enjoy the premise of all-powerful beings forced into mundane everyday lives, and occasionally having to call upon their otherworldly powers to solve such basic everyday problems that they are uniquely unqualified to handle (despite the Devil himself proving to be the ideal employee for the service industry).

I certainly enjoyed Cromartie High School. I wish Shirokuma Cafe (Polar Bear's Cafe) got more love though. Perhaps it's a bit too slice-of-life for most people.

Miss the days of watching Cromartie High School at my late Grandpa's. Back when G4/Tech TV ran anime and there was this anime channel I would watch the hell out of. 2004 was a good year. I wanna go back :(

Three absolute classics in Yakitate! Japan, Sunabouzu and Chromartie. Sunabouzu, besides being incredibly funny, also majorly subverts some storytelling conventions and legit has my favourite female character/protagonist ever in Taiko. She's awesome, especially later on.

I loved this channel for many reasons (like your Re:Zero appreciations, OP analysis in general, etc) BUT now i love it even more because your N°1 recommendation is Sakigake. That's one of the most hilarious and bizarre anime i've ever seen and it was one of the first too (i watched it for the 1st time when i was 10 or 11). Just wanna say... do you remember Hokuto's disciple name?

If you do watch Senyuu and enjoy it, there is plenty more content of it via the Senyuu Webcomic/manga, Which one it gets past the point the anime stopped, it retains it's comedy as well as allowing the story to get serious and very entertaining.

Cromartie High school is actually one of my favorite anime, I watched it when I was super young. Watashi ga Motete Dousunda is good it parodies the reverse harem and otome games while being one.
