@@ddsjgvk Even if they aren't nailed to perfection, the devs have 2-3 games worth of characterization to base the original crew off of. Give the Normand SR2 crew back, including our Shepard(s). Ryder and anything from MEA was trash - they've burned up on entry and don't need to be mentioned ever again.

It would be awesome if it was Grunt! I definitely get parent-son vibes from them as well. From Andromeda, I believe that Drack is over 2000, so time wouldn't be a factor for Wrex being here if it is 600 years later. I never knew that Wrex and Aria knew each other, that is awesome!! Do we find this out in the party? At this point, I want everyone who died back, but I'm desperate :)

@@paragonseven Paragon7ME mentioned that Wrex was acquainted with an asari named Aleena. He'll tell a story to Shepard during ME1 if the player talks to him after every mission. During one of these talks, Shepard needs to ask Wrex about his life as a mercenary.

Hello! Glad I'm not the only one who thought this :) If you haven't watched my trailer breakdown, I go into the discrepancies of the planet being Alchera very briefly there, but I will be releasing my thoughts on how it could work in a future video (sorry to make you wait!) :) I totally get putting your thoughts out there because of fan theory craziness, but I genuinely do believe in the multiverse theory (for now), so I had to put it out there :) I hadn't even considered the geth crater being an actual geth actually! It must be about the same size as the Human Reaper from ME2....which now has me thinking of an interesting theory 🕵

In the Mass Effect comics, it goes into further detail surrounding Shepard's recovery. The Yahg Shadow Broker recovered Shep's body, Liara fights and recovers it after it's already been taken off the planet. The first time she sees the capsule with the body (from what I remember) is on Omega. The trailer could be showing a metaphorical recovery though, who knows? 🙂

Agreed! I think we all just want the trilogy's style of storytelling and gameplay back. Counting down the days to N7 day this year, hopefully we get another hint or update! 🙂

I don't think they would directly bring back the EXACT same character we knew in the trilogy. E.g. they would get an alternate universe Thane where he might not have Kepral's syndrome, or maybe not even an assassin.

Oooh stealth fighter is VERY possible! And I am leaning towards 10th gen. I doubt they would force squadmates on us, and they are teasing some new characters in the concept art, so hopefully its a happy medium between the two :)

@@paragonseven thing is...if Normandy is 2nd gen, 10th gen sounds like this game is far out in the future, maybe 30 years, unless the type of ship is older than the normandys class

@@darren5777 Agreed that makes sense. Maybe it is the letter X, so instead of letter-letter-number, it's more like SSV Normandy, of 3 letters in a row.

I am reluctant to believe that the Andromeda Initative would have the means to connect a mass relay to the Milky Way. Last we left off, Andromeda didn't have communication with the Milky Way, and since the Reapers made the mass relays, would they even have the means to do so? Andromeda will be involved somehow in the next game, but I don't think they'll build a galaxy-wide mass relay.

@@paragonseven The thing is that after 600 or so years, milky way should be recovered from the conflict, so as the relays. My guess is that the mass relay would be built by milky way - protheans made smaller version of it and without reaper tech. Then go through it with enough ships and resources to build another one there to enable two way travel. But of course this is all mostly speculation. I hope we'll get more info soon.

In the animated film Mass Effect: Paragon Lost, there is an another interesting Krogan who wears red/black armor, Blood Pack merc named Brood. He gets mentioned by James Vega in ME3 during Priority: Palaven, quote "I fought with a Kogan. They're tough sons of bitches", but James doesn't bring up his name.

I just found a video that could explain why the Geth would survive even in the Destroy ending. Basically when you talk to Legion in ME2 he explains the ultimate goal of the Geth is to build a sort of "dyson sphere" (A real theory/thing btw) and that Geth were currently working on it. @@dasdas7752 That's possible, but remember that the Quarian-Geth war starts when Quarians attack and bombard that dyson sphere, so we don't know if it even exists anymore (in working order)

IMHO, I think that the final breath you see in the perfect destroy ending was meant to be for fans that did not want Shepard to be 100% confirmed dead by the end of the trilogy. They tried moving on to a new protagonist with Ryder (and failed), and now need to bring Shepard back in a way that makes sense with all endings (hence bringing back a Shep from a different universe).

@@paragonseven Won't knock the multiverse theory, but for simplicity's sake, it could just be that perfect destroy is canon and Shep is just back to business after a couple years (or months) MIA.

@@paragonseven Several reasons. Firstly, it might not be Alchera, it could be Earth. Shepard's helmet was blasted apart during the final run and Liara is simply finding it weeks/months later (we don't know what time of year the Reapers attacked). Or, it could actually be ash instead of snow. Secondly, if it is Alchera, maybe it's not a fragment from Shepard's helmet, but any N7 - possibly one of the multiplayer 'N7s'. Long shot, but still. Lastly, that part of the trailer could not factor into the game whatsoever, meaning, it's a shot of Liara to show she's in the game, it's a shot of an N7 item to show the game will either include Shepard or have a final sendoff to him/her - the actual visuals we get may never appear in the game itself, it's simply very early promotion. I'm with @philmarston, perfect destroy should be canon, and this scene of Liara is part of the prologue of ME4 where she is the playable character (or simply a cutscene) in which Shepard is found and a minor time skip of a few months to at most 5 years occurs. After which gameplay resumes/begins and Shepard is once again the playable character, off on a new adventure in a rebuilding Milky Way with a new, another ancient or extra-galactic threat on the proverbial horizon.

@@GiovanniZaluchi Last I checked, Earth had only 1 moon, but the trailer planet had 3 🤔 Liara finding a random N7 would be a major letdown, not sure Bioware would tease something of that nature. I get it though, perfect destroy makes sense, for a lot of fans, but I personally don't think it matches with what Bioware has teased so far. To each their own though, we won't know till we hear more 🙂

@paragon7ME so it was before Andromeda came out. They said that the mass effect trilogy was the completed story of Shepherd which is why they made Ryder the protagonist. But I wouldn't mind getting to play Shepherd again

I'm here for anything to save Shepard at this point!

I fully get that, fan service-y stuff can be very cringe. But with Bioware's huge wiff with Andromeda, I'm not sure they have much of a choice. I think that they can pull off bringing characters back, without it lessening the original story, but it has to be VERY carefully done. I'm actually not too familiar with FF15 New Dawn, so I can't comment on it, but here's to hoping the next ME is not a bad fan fiction 👍

Agreed, Ryder needs some work. Hopefully a small time jump would help mature them up. The writing team also made their lines very generic compared to Shep's though.

Could be! We kind of know what Liara was doing in between ME2 and ME3 though (just solo'ing as an information broker), so why would she be hanging out with a group like this? It would fun to explore that time period though!

@paragon7ME 100% I didn't think about that. But maybe it's not Ryder. Maybe this is Ryders dad while still in the Milkey Way. That would further the link between him and Liara

If I recall correctly from the official ME timeline, the Andromeda Initiative launches- leaves the Milky Way- during the events of ME2. If so, this would mean that Shepard was probably in the process of recruiting her/his crew for the Collector mission when the AI leaves for the Andromeda Galaxy. My memory could be wrong on this, though. It has been a while since I looked at the timeline.
