Might not want all that sharp metal around my cat. They might get too comfy and scratch their eye! I do like the idea of a bamboo-rope teepee concept. That would look cute in the garden and would be a nice shady place for the cats to chill.

Yes can make your own with the tomato cage just cut the sharp parts off and put either glue with glue gun or even other stuff over any spots that are sharp or anything in anyway and it will be pretty much the same thing :) but way cheaper!

We have the Simply Clean Automatic Litter Box for our two kitties. It's very quiet & easy to empty. No special bags needed...we just use plastic baggies from the market to line the canister. Love it!!

DO NOT BUY THE POUNCE "toy". My cat's claw got stuck on the mouse tail and he couldn't get loose until I intervened and pried his claw loose by bending the plastic tail off. The manufacturers need to do more testing and make sure their product is safe for cats to play with.

Hide ugly cat furniture? His furniture is whatever he deems his (and frankly he’d rather have the box it came in, though he has laid claim to half my bed and an entire comforter for his exclusive use). If someone can’t handle that I have a cat or the cat hates them, they’re not welcome here anyway.

Trine Daely Exactly. Who and why would want to hide their cats "furniture"...? I have 5 cats it's impossible to hide anything even if I wanted to. Their tunnel and scratching/playing house is almost in the middle of main room. If I don't like something enough to place it in my home I don't bring it in. Also that tree,in my personal opinion,is ugly.

It depends on the personality of the cats and their age. I have 2 six month old cats and all they do is play and sleep. They get really hyper at night as well and love to run around my apartment. I never gave them catnip before, they were like this since I got them 3 months ago.

Yeah for scratching I just toss a cardboard box down and they rip it to pieces. They love how their claws can really dig in. They especially love it once they've torn it up some.

Ages ago I just bring home the cut open boxes from Costco. Cats adore the boxes with the fruit smells. So strawberry and blueberry are real finds and they love them. They didn't like the tofu box from Costco. But I bought it purely to get a picture of them laying in it to send it to a friend. She likes tofu. I don't. So you don't really need those special scratching pads either. Just lids from boxes they will have a ball. And sprinkle some catnip on it they get the idea very quickly. Because let's face it ,,, you can't kill 'em ... gotta love 'em.

So true! I have wasted money on cat scratchers and all sorts of stuff for them to scratch and they completely ignore it and go for my furniture and stuff but as soon as I started putting down just random pieces of cardboard and then just empty cardboard boxes they are in love with those now and haven't touched anything else. So now as long as I keep cardboard laying around and at least one or two empty boxes they are happy and leave everything else alone 🤣

@@akonfever21 Smart cats get bored quickly. I release one or two toy to my cat at once, then shift to others every a couple of days. Different cats have different preferences on toys too. So that's why there are so many different products on the market. Observe what your cat enjoys the most. As to scratching carpet, attach double-sided tape (or simply tape) on where your cat like to scratch and I'm sure he/she will give up scratching that spot very quickly. It usually also works to put fresh orange zest at where you don't want your cat go, cause most (but not all) cats hate orange.

I actually have those litter boxes (two of them) and lemme just say, they stood up to the abuse of three cats. They do fall apart over time, but it's so darn worth it. It took over a year before we had any issues. For three cat, I think thats very good. I say it's worth it.

At least TWO items are no longer offered... 1) Per Wiski website, the cat cone is no longer offered for sale - only the replacement felt or sisal covers. 2) The Catalpa Cat Tree is no longer offered either. The link goes to a different cat tree by the same company. (Didn't check any others.)

Cat Cone... hmm, 2 things: 1) They are using a laser or something to attract the cats to it so excitedly. 2) That type of carpet fabric (loopy) is NOT a cat favorite. The get stuck on the loops a lot and sometimes painfully. It should be that plush-type carpet.

Everyone is saying “oh they only want the boxes” and while I admit it’s funny, sometimes it’s better to have both. Cats (as many of you might know since you’re here) like to hide in small spaces, which is different to what most of these products want your cat to do. So get the product and keep the box. Just in case your cat likes the product.

Try vertical and horizontal scratchers, and vary the material until you find what Mia prefers. Mine ended up liking cardboard disposable ones best, then berber. For some reason they shun sisal. :P And if you put double sided tape all over your amp, they'll leave it alone after awhile. Once she's got the habit of clawing something appropriate for a week or two, you can take the tape down.

Hello Lily Python, I recommend you adopt instead of buying one. I have two female cats, they keep each other company and stay entertained, so they don't damage any of my stuff.

Lily Python adopt a grown cat. The kitten phase seems cute but it's not fun. Grown cats have a set personality you already know what you're getting. 🐱

Hello Lilly. Plz adopt 2 (or more) adult cats. Kittens are cute but a lot of work. Kittens are easier to adopt out. Ask yourself what you want in a cat and stick to it. Shelter volunteers can help you find what you want. Don't let the shy cats in the back get looked over. Adult cats personalities will blossom more outside of a cage. Let us know what you decide. you know while these things are creative, you cat may have more fun with the box it comes in than the toy itself. and for bored lonely cat, you need 2 so they can keep eatchother company while your away. but cats a interactive players things that bob or go round on a track dont work so well. Ive found pulling a plush mouse around on a string, its probebly the best. or play the round the corner game, or even the hand under the blanket game. all cats love those.
