What is The ‘Sunnah’ Way to Pray?” What is The ‘Sunnah’ Way to Pray?” This type of question is very common on social media , impression is given anyone who doesn’t do that opinion he goes against the sunnah, so it goes back to a broader question of methodology. 2 Predominant Philosophies how we view the madhabs 1- Attempting to understand the sunnah ,how do we approach the sunnah through a methodology (4 main schools) all of them attempt to extrapolate from the sunnah. 2- The Schools as competitors to the sunnah as they are replacing the book of hadith and it is a minority paradigm and we respect the scholars, and they view the schools of law to be deviated from the sunnah even fighting against it and this is amongst the Ahle-Hadith movement. They felt the books of hadith should be direct reference and take rulings and this sentiment was embodied in the book “The Prophet’s prayer described as if you are seeing it.”. It gave an illusion that every minute detail was preserved and can follow it directly and someone not doing it was dismissing it. It’s not correct and what ended up happening a new school was created and it is much less scholarship and it began differing amongst itself and were not consistent and Islamic law is not copying and pasting its interpretation reconciling what differs, what does the exactly mean. The books of Fiqh are not substitute to the books of sunnah, the scholars take the sources and present to us Islamic Law. We should understand fiqh as extrapolations from the sunnah. The notion that it is a substitute is wrong. Allah has blessed our ummah in a way that what we agree on our salah is everything as what we differ is trivial. Now when it comes to where to place the hand do, we really need to fight over it, it is a wrong attitude and creates a sense of arrogance. Every single school has its evidence e.g. THE FAMOUS CONTROVERSY OF RAFFA YADAIN. 1- 2/3rd say you should, and one says no , so those who say you should do have a plenty of evidence, imam al bukhari wrote a booklet Treaties of Raffa Yadain from the companions. 2- The Hanafi school is rejecting the sunnah he says I have an authentic hadith in Abu Dawood and others where Ibn Masood narrated the hadith, and he didn’t raise the hands except for once. Would u stand Infront of ibn Masood who was the early converts he accompanied for the entirety, and he doesn’t know the sunnah. He has the evidence and this notion of not following the people early on debated. • Sufyan al thoori narrates from al mughera that Ibrahim al nakhai was asked What would you do about the hadith that the Prophet(pbuh) raised his hand when he did Ruko.(THE narration mentions a person who was with the Prophet(pbuh) after the 8th or 9th Hijrah. The Sheikh of Imam Abu Hanifa replied , “If (the narrator) saw him raise his hands once than Abdullah ibn Masood saw him not raise his hands more than 50 times.” 3- Hanafi school has an authentic sunnah and they prefer over the other why are u problematizing it.Dont feel that other is lesser than sunnah THE PLACING OF THE HANDS -some prayed on stomach some on navel some below the navel some Tabiyoon prayed with the hands on the side which is the School of Madina and there is a narration that a companion used to put it on the chest only one interpretation says the upper portion of the chest none held it. The problem is in dismissing the other opinion the same issue of tashahud. • Raise it • He was moving it • How to reconcile a little ambiguity was tolerated. All the ways of legal school are authentic ,my way or the highway this has created a feeling of arrogance than making a mistake, the sunnah way is what you have been taught. Pray the way they taught you. To claim one opinion is the only way it is a wrong approach. When someone of a great reputation holds a position they have every right to hold it we disagree but we disagree with disrespect and don’t create a notion that you are only right but don’t create disharmony.

@@user-xh6tl2xu9hHe who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allaah …}[Quran 4:80] • {And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allaah…}[Quran 4:64] • {… And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from…}[Quran 59:7] • {… And if you obey him, you will be [rightly] guided…}[Quran 24:54] • {… Say, "Obey Allaah and the Messenger"…}[Quran 3:32] • {… and follow him that you may be guided. …}[Quran 7:158] There are many verses to that effect. The Quran, to those who believe in it, clearly stipulates the obligation of obeying the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and that obedience to him is obedience to Allaah, The Exalted. Therefore, Muslims are obliged to comply with the commands of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, because they were revealed to him by Allaah, The Exalted, and obedience to him is obedience to Allaah, The Exalted. Claiming that following the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and obeying him is Shirk is considered disbelief in the Quran. The person who puts forward such an argument does not believe in the Quran even if he claims that he reveres it and abides by its teachings.

Urgent Call for Justice: Stand with Ethiopian Muslims 🕌💔 Yesterday, a heartbreaking tragedy unfolded at Anwar Masjid in Addis Ababa. After the Friday prayer, government forces brutally took the lives of three young Muslims, including our dear brother, Siraj Muhammed. Our hearts are shattered, and we mourn the loss of these innocent lives. Today, as we gather to lay Siraj to rest in Kolfe Muslims grave, we demand justice and accountability. The demolitions of mosques and the violence inflicted upon peaceful protesters are not justifiable under any circumstances. It is a direct assault on our religious freedom and cultural heritage. We urge the international community to stand in solidarity with Ethiopian Muslims. Raise your voice against these grave injustices, share this post, and let the world know about the plight of Ethiopian Muslims. Together, we can demand an independent investigation into these acts of violence and seek justice for Siraj and all the victims. Our faith teaches us resilience, love, and compassion. Let us honor Siraj's memory by advocating for peace, religious tolerance, and the protection of human rights. Join us in calling for an end to the demolition of mosques and the oppression faced by our community. Use the hashtags below to spread awareness and show your support. We need your voice to amplify our call for justice and bring about meaningful change. In this time of sorrow and injustice, let us unite and work towards a world where every individual can practice their faith without fear or discrimination. Together, we can make a difference. Stand with us. Stand for justice. 🤲🌍💙 #EthiopianMuslimsUnderAttack #JusticeForEthiopianMuslims #ReligiousFreedomInEthiopia #StopMosqueDemolition #SupportEthiopianMuslims #StandWithEthiopianMuslims #ShegerCity #IslamophobiaInEthiopia ♠ CNN CNN International CGTN Reuters RT FRANCE 24 The New York Times BBC News Africa The Washington Times ABC The Telegraph

Can anyone explain Surah 9:30? I felt like I was close to accepting Islam, but this Surah makes a false claim about the Jews saying Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and this doesn’t make sense because Jews don’t believe that.

@@ummlittlemuslim no I honestly haven’t. How will they help? The Quran is supposedly the word of Allah, so that’s what I’m most concerned with right now. I can only take one step at a time. If you can help me understand, I would appreciate it.

@Jawad tafsir is for example what the Prophet explained the verse as he conveyed it to his Companions, they had questions and he explained the meanings of things, the Quran didn't just come down as a whole book as you know so it has many supporting hadiths to explain terms and such. I will go check or do some searching in arabic

@Jawad this one in arabic, saying it was a specific person and specific time the jews referred to this individual as a special person (son of God) because he (maybe he was a prophet) compiled their book back for them after it was lost due to some bad King in history. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SBWJEH08Fxk.html
