Great video. I'd like to add that the pricing is opposite in Canada vs. U.S Since '17 models, our 10th gen Si came with touring headlights, rear heated seats and extra goodies from the start making them more $$ than touring. Good job on the video man.

Yeah except nobody knows how to shift anymore. I work with some kids ages 20-26 who have never driven stick, and have no desire. It's very strange.

Which is actually quicker in 0-60 or 40 -80? The CVT trans just hits redline and stays at peak hp until you let off the gas, never slowing down to shift. Can you use the adaptive criuse control in heavy traffic with the manual transmission?

We have the civic touring models with manual transmissions in canada ... at least for 2021 models ;)

I really wish you could buy the si with leather, power and heated seats. That's why I bought the touring. I have never owned a CVT before and don't really know how I feel about it. It's definitely boring lol. I mean it's a family car and is mainly used to commute but I just wish it had a little more get up and go and I don't think the engine is the issue. It's that damn transmission. I'm not familiar but I'm assuming you can upgrade the turbo in the touring and possibly tune it but would it even be worth it with that CVT? Is there anything that can be done to a stock touring to give it more power?

Yes, you can add a Ktuner(or some other tune) to your Civic Touring, it will give you enough power you'll wonder how you lived without it!

Jeez Its turbo I got 240 hp in my base hb 2017 Cvt Its not slow and no where close to being boring You can eazy get more power I only have an Open airfilter and a stage 2 tune

between the two what you choose for reliability? i was leaning towards the Si because i love that its got some more power but being stuck in traffic with a manual car is never fun. also great video !

I got the touring ...is the si engine the exact same ? Very hard to find any comparative information If so that extra hp is really CPU thing ???

The Si engine is almost the same but the actual turbocharger in the Si is higher performance. However, you can get a Ktuner(or other tuner) for your touring and you'll have similar power to the Si. Keep in mind the touring is really for comfort/luxury and the Si is almost strictly for performance. In other words the brakes, engine, bushings, metal stiffness, seats, springs, stabilizer bars, dampeners, and even the power steering system is different between these two cars.

Do you think Honda is sabotaging SI sales by making it manual only, at a time when the younger audience can't drive stick? On the other hand, the Civic Touring (and many other Hondas) are let down by the soul-sucking CVT.

Mig Y good question. Personally, I think they would sell some auto Si’s but any enthusiast will prefer the manual. Hard to say exactly, but as long as they don’t put the CVT in there I’m ok with it

It's always been manual only.. if you don't know how to drive a stick shift don't get an SI
