I am now 63 years old and wishing I knew about this years ago. Have gone through some tough times with my health. So many years I thought I was eating healthy. But I think I'm getting the hang of this Whole Food Plant Based Diet. Really enjoying it and feeling so much better ... and watching you make this, makes me hungry. @scarlett H I get what your saying, but yes sometimes it is too late! If I had know this I would not have gone through the crap I went through. Plus some of my friends now are sick and or dead because they never got the chance to find this info.

I'm 61 yo and if I ate these (delicious) meals I'd swell up like a hog. Unless I ate very small portions, but then they sure wouldn't hold me "until lunch". Sigh.

@@liamtaylor4955 When I was sick with many digestion issues I was hardly eating and still gaining weight. And just plain afraid to leave the house. My comment was more geared to how delicious and healthy. I don't eat 5 meals a day anymore. Number 1 I'm retired and don't work my but off everyday like I use to, so I don't need the calories. Number 2 as you get old your metabolism slows down another reason why you don't need to eat 5 meals a day. I might have 2 or 3 but eating plant-base I can eat to satisfaction so I'm not starving my self! The results are amazing I loss the weight, and off all my drugs for my digestions issues and drugs for high cholesterol, thereby avoiding what a lot of my friends are going through now, like a triple heart bypass surgery.

This diet is not healthy. A primal diet consisting of mostly raw animal products is optimal for health.

I have been a professional chef for over 40 years, your recipes descriptions and comments are incredible, delicious healthy food simply prepared, it doesn't get any better than that how does it get better than that it can't get better than that it would be impossible to get better than that nothing could be better than that I wish I was better than that

For your lentil recipe: If you cooked the vegetables before adding the curry powder and adding water you would get much more flavor !

I'm not a vegan but at 65 I saw that I was headed to being one of those watermelon belly guys so fast that I started wearing loose shirts to hide my embarrassment. So finally I started eating healthy fruits and veggies every day for be the first time in my life and my stomach's gone down lots and I plan to keep it up.

I like having a set of tried and true meals. When the day is stressful and you just need to eat it’s good to have a meal that you don’t have to think about to make. I also like to throw out convention and eat dinner for breakfast when I have leftovers.

Try mixing tahini with low sodium soy sauce and a little bit of vinegar and water. It's a delicious salad dressing.

It’s so refreshing to see content full of balance and diversity. I’m WFPB, but I struggle with going in and out of phases where I don’t eat enough fats. Lots of conflicting info about overt fats in the diet like avocado, nuts, seeds, etc. but I’m trying to push myself to incorporate more as toppings to my meals because I am realizing how important they are to getting my cycle back and stop skipping periods. So many content creators I follow say we don’t need them for overall health and that grains and starch have enough fat, but I found out the hard way that isn’t true, for me. So thank you for being an inspiration of health and encouraging me to keep experimenting with super nutrient rich foods and to enjoy food/ and life to the fullest ❤️

Store the veggies by themselves to throw meals together and reheat as you wish.

I would store the veggies by themselves in the fridge. You can reheat them in the microwave or just heat them up in the oven on low heat until warm. And the dressing you can just put in a smalll jar or something and keep in the fridge :)

I've been struggling really hard with beginning my whole food plant based diet, and lifestyle, is there any tips and helpful advice you could give to help ease the fear and uncertainty surrounding getting started. Right! The only thing I’ve done so far is juicing. I wanted to start getting in more fruits and veggies right away. I guess my next step will be to try a wfpb main meal or snack... Have you made any progress?

Just start eating vegan food. It's that simple and that's all you need to know. Don't worry about all kinds of information abt supplements and protein etc. Just eat whole foods like whole grains like brown rice instaed of white rice, fruits instead of sugar, veggies, beans, nuts and seeds.

1st I drink Ash gourd juice sometimes coconut water or other vegetables or fruits juice at 8 am. 2nd I eat smoothie bowl 10am. 3rd time chapati or rice at 1pm. 4rd hebal tea or something snacks at 4pm. 5th 7pm salad or soup. When i become thirsty i drink water their is not any time table for that. Is this diet is good

For some reason I’m not great at roasting vegetables especially if it’s a mix of different kinds. What temperature is your oven? And do you use oil when roasting?

These meals are really creative. I have to say...my idea of "super high protein" doesn't match up with yours (for example oatmeal.) But I'm not a vegan and I'd definitely eat those meals. They look amazing! I like having regular meals to have every week too.

I've been vegan for almost 6 months now and I've gained about 20 pounds 😭 i quit nicotine at the same time that I switched and I started working out again almost everyday. What am I doing wrong? Im afraid of gaining more weight and eating/ consuming more calories than I need but I've just been so hungry! P.s. I love your channel and your app ❤

It's hard to say when I don't know how you are eating on a regular basis. If you want to loose weight (if you are underweight you should not) then maybe you could try stick to whole foods for a while (minimal processed foods like vegan cheese, cakes, oil etc) It can make a big difference leaving out the oil, which doesn't provide with much nutrients anyway. But don't over restrict, let yourself have a treat once in a while. Thank you 💚

The main difference between a vegan diet and wfpb diet is oil. Eliminate processed vegan products and learn to cook with no oil and you'll be amazed. And when you're hungy eat veggies and starches! Lots of them!

It's really cool you talk about the high quality supplements because essential nutrients in the right amounts are hard to provide in a a vegan diet. Your food looks beautiful and it looks tasty! I appreciate the way you are sharing about a whole food vegan diet... seems like a lot of vegans go for the highly processed and allergen prone/ dangerous ingredients of fake meat products :-/ I have to say, I'm amazed at how healthy and well your digestion is to be able to digest brown rice without sprouting and fermenting it, raw cabbagw, and, peppers without taking the skin off, and, the peanut butter... these are all things that are full of lectins! if you have any digestive issues at all would create a lot of gas and bloating and eventually just an unhealthy and inflamed gut. I guess you and your family have really healthy guts and somehow it doesn't bother you. Anyway, thanks for the yummy veggie inspiration! 😂🤙

I had a lot of digestive issues before starting a plant based diet. I was eating a so called "keto/paleo" (poor in veggies) diet soon 6 years ago. My gut was horrible and didn't function at all. When jumping over to eating more plants I got some bloating in the beginning because I was starting to eat veggies I'd never eaten before so that's normal. But now fast forward, I could binge a can of beans or eat all the raw veggies I want without getting bloated and my digestion has never been better ☺️

this is the first vegan video I've watched and felt I could cook / make all of these so THANK YOU!!!!! Been an on and off again vegan for most of last year but trying to actually stick to it this year and your video has given me lots of ideas!!!! Excited to watch more of your videos :D x

Also, remember, making a dish vegan is as simple as removing meat from an old chili, spaghetti, or soup recipe. Keep it simple!

I like the concept of why you are eating these foods. All these meals looks delicious 😍 Dr Greger from nutrition facts have said Spinach are not recommended (at least not every week) because of their oxalates high content.

Just curious, how do you take the liquid vitamins? I tried an omega 3 and it was so bad I couldn't take it again. I'm starting back on a wfpb diet, fell off the wagon last year. After eating meat for 67 years I found it really hard especially since my husband doesn't want to eat this way. I'm going to try some of your recipes, they look delicious.
