The 4H western Heritage Project had its National shooting finals in Ft.Benton Mt. A Few years ago. My Kids competed and I am a 4H Range Officer and Trainer for the project. But that year I had a Mission. To go to the Museum and See that 5 Million Tractor. I actually enjoyed touching it. There was another older Gentleman from out of state there who had the same Mission. Good video! Thanks for putting it out.

Had breakfast with Gary, two years ago, when I visited Great Falls, and visited the museum in Fort Benton. Great guy with great stories. Gary showed me dozens and dozens of his own tractors. Fantastic visit. BK

As a man who grew up in Waterloo, Iowa, who's dad had one of these, I also miss IH a lot. I consider myself to be the man that hates Deere the most. FDeere!

I think it's funny he mentioned Canada, because the Havre, MT Museum is basically a shrine to pre 1990s Prarie farming methods.

If you want to interview a youngster with a good start to a collection let me know lol. I love the videos and look forward to them! As a 15 year old it's hard to find anybody else my age to talk old tractors... That just gives me another excuse to hang out with the old timers!

I have noticed that this tractor has the 6 hole rear hubs like an 86 series and in the original photos taken in 1974 of the tractor it has 12 hole rear hubs. Makes you wonder if the rear hubs were changed or were there more than one of these built

such a beauty.

I’m curious how some people afford the tractor collecting hobby. This guy for example was a truck driver for an equipment dealer. How did he ever make enough money to afford that many tractors and their upkeep and restorations.

Anyone know what a 1066 with those options went for new? I am trying to figure out how much extra they paid. Were there any more commemorative production number tractors made before IHC got bought out?

Does anyone know the serial number of that tractor? We have a 1974 1066 and I am wondering how close it is.
