Retired dancer and yoga teacher here…had two disastrous sections 15 &17 yrs ago which left my tummy really scarred with a large shelf and the inability to use my deeper core. I wish I had this videos and your core videos back then. Using now with great results. Thank you 🙏
Had c- section 4 months ago, have tried a lot to lose weight but i’m failing to do so. Not even a 10 gms has moved from my weight. You look so fit and your core is well built too. Please help me out too
Glad you’re here! It takes time to heal, but consistent scar massage, breath work and deep core exercises will help, along with good nutrition. I recommend doing my Postpartum Ab Program and C-section recovery plan. They are both on my playlists. ❤
Had my first c section 4 months ago. I don’t have DR and I’m losing weight with following your tips to heal my core. My belly feels like a rock and numb little bit and still looks big but smaller than before, is that normal ? Maybe i should do the massage? And excuse my English it’s my second language 🙏🏻🤍
Hi! I’m glad you have had some subversion healing your core! What you’re describing could definitely be related to scar tissue and adhesions from your incision. Of course, I cannot say specifically what the issue is, but you would benefit from scar massage regardless! You can do it daily or a few times per week. Or course, I always suggest checking with a pelvic floor PT for a more personalized plan. ❤
Hey Lauren, I’m a post c section mom of 3 c sections. I’d love to get started at healing my core and hopefully losing or flattening my c section shelf. What workouts would you recommend I start with on your channel?
Hi! Glad you’re here! I would first suggest my C-section recovery plan, followed by my Postpartum Ab program to heal your core. I also reconned this scar massage workout daily for the first few months. In addition, I have a playlist of “C-section workouts” ranging from strength to cardio, etc. that I would add in after you finish the previous!
Am I supposed to be able to pick up the actual scar? At the scar site, it is completely glued down to the underneath tissue. I am many years post surgeries.
You may or may not be able to, depending on the elasticity of your skin. That’s not a problem, though! The goal is to massage the area on and around the incision sit to reduce scar tissue and improve mobility. ❤
29 years since my first c section 19 since my second. Just found this and wondering if it’s too late. The scar is very lumpy and painful in places is this normal? 😔
It’s definitely not too late and shouldn’t be painful! Mobilizing the scar tissue is definitely going to help. I also recommend pelvic floor PT if you are having issues!
I’ve actually heard a lot recently that this is why women with c sections can’t lose the shelf is because of the incision and if you break it up it will change it
