Yeah there are definitely variations, but I like tjis as a starting piint at least. I think DADGAD in the strictest sense is pretty popular in Irish and World music, but the regulat old D tuning has F# because it's the 3rd degree of the D Major Scale. #themoreyouknow #tuningparty

If you mean can you use the same slide piece (brass, steel, or glass) from one tuning to another, you absolutely can. In these videos I sworxh between slides simply pit of convenience. @@outlaw1099 Oh man, I think I understand now! So Open G and Open D are similar, but the way I play this track it is specifically for Open D and cannot really be played with Open G.
