5 minute knee strengthening exercises routine to fix knee pain in mature women | Exercise over 50! If you are experiencing knee pain as you're getting older, it can affect your whole quality of life... We are able to make our knees stronger by working the muscles in our hips, our thighs and our calves... all the muscles that connect to the knee... and if these muscles strong, they take the pressure off the knee joints so that the pain is reduced and your mobility is increased.
If you have knee pain you're not alone... In fact two thirds of women over the age of 50 are experiencing some form of knee pain... Do this knee strengthening routine and knee stretches, five days a week to really help your knee pain, and when your knees are feeling better you can reduce the frequency to 2 times a week.

I'm a 61 year old man and I do your 5min and 10min knee strenghten exercises daily. It works 100%. I do both in the morning and before going to bed. Sleep like a baby with less knee pain. Appreciate your knowledge and help.❤

Had been ignoring the stretching exercises for awhile, while doing others. Hadn't realized what I was missing. Joint aches have been an issue and doing exercise today helped open me up. Not only that, your words of mindful encouragement and support are always welcome, especially in these troubled times. I am always grateful for you!

I never exercised no fire I saw your workouts, I started with the 10 minute arm exercises, and then followed up with the 30 minute walking workout. I did these for about 4 weeks, and then I saw your 14 day challenge. I am 61 years old and I just finished it in 14 days; not to say I didn't sweat like a horse! My Grandma used to tell me, "women don't sweat, they glow" I said, " Well then I'm glowing like a horse". I am 56 and had knee pain that prevented me from kneeling onto the prayer mat (I am Muslim). After starting on this exercise about 6 weeks ago and following your advise to do this 5x a week, my knee feels a lot stronger. The pain is practically gone! Thank you, Schellea, for this video. I’m now following some of your other workouts to get back into good physical shape 💪🏼 - from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The same with me, even if I'm catholic. I couldn't kneel in church. After months of these exercises I can do it without pain. It's beautiful that even if we are of different religions we are united by respect for our bodies and our values.❤️❤️❤️

Great routine. Has really helped me with knee problems. Bit frustrating that adverts kick in half way through the routine so you have to stop and click ‘skip’.

Thank you so much for the above! I am now doing these 5 minute exercises and have noticed a huge difference in the past few months--no pain unless I skip your exercises and it is back again. I'm 69 and trying to avoid any knee surgery if it can be avoided. So far, so good. On to the ab workout. Thank you for offering many alternatives to our workouts. :)

Hi I'm loving these exercises. I have arthritic knees so it's quite difficult for me but I managed half of them this first time. I plan to do them every day. Thank you!! you are doing a fantastic job for ladies over 50 and indeed over 65 as I am but in my head I'm just 20 😃xx

Knee pain is usually connected to hip alignment. There are many rehab type exercises to do that exercises the quads in different directions. The quads are what gives strength to the knees.

Hi. I’m Minakshi from Dubai, 55 yrs old. I have been following your videos from 2019 and find all your excercises very helpful but special mention to this one. Whenever I have slight knee pain I do this for 5 days and I’m absolutely fine . Even today I did this after a long as I was experiencing sever pain in the knee for past couple of days and sure enough by afternoon only I’m feeling so much relieved . Thank you so much ❤

I find this routine so easy to follow along with. I don’t do it every day, but on and off for about 2 months and I’ve noticed a difference in my knee pain. Especially getting up and down from a chair and going up and down stairs. Thanks so much.

Thx so much for being there🙂ive been following you for few months and just love it all. Three years ago I started having knee trouble, small tears of the meniscus. Its been pretty good for the last year or so but it has returned just last week even though I feel I've NOT been over doing it. Still doing your knee exercises and your other exercises that don't work the knee too much. I want so much to do your 14 day challenge, sounds like fun!👍🙂but will continue to be careful even though its frustrating after FINALLY finding you and enjoying everthing you do. Going to the gym is just not my thing. Your so good for so many of us. Please keep it up💞

Thank you Schellea, You saved my knee pains! I experienced knee pains and went to a Specialist for consultation. He told me he would get me a physiotherapist to help me do some correct exercises to strengthen the quad muscles.. After consultation, I came home to check on RU-vid for the right exercises to do for knee pain, and found your video! It was such a blessing because I like the way you conduct the exercises with the timer and really suits me perfectly! I did the above exercises and in three days, my knee pain was gone! I am still doing your other exercises too! Appreciate your easy to follow and soothing voice to attract me to follow your ways!! THANK YOU!!! By the way, the physiotherapist recommended did not call me until last week! To me, I don't need her anymore, My pains are gone!:-D

Fabulous 50 I did the knee exercises because it helps me with my belly too ...At times I di feel pain in my knees especially at winter times. ..When I go out in the cold 🥶 if I am not wearing enough clothes the first place I feel cold is my sick knee ....But these days I found the cure. So when winter comes I make sure that I am warm out in the ❄ ❄ snow. 👌 WOW

Thank you so much for all the exercises but especially for the knee strengthening and the hips ones too! I have had both knees replaced and one hip! I put on a lot of weight during covid and during the surgeries so I am just getting back into a workout routine. I appreciate all your videos and am finishing day 7 of the 14 day challenge. Excellent for my knees, 1 of which = diagnosed a year ago “advanced arthritic”. The other knee was with torn meniscus...! I may be being a bit more careful than I need to be( a cautious sort by nature) , but the increasing strength and health is unmistakable. Again, gotta sayThank you, Schellea ! 💐💐💐

I had a total knee replacement and therapy and other exercises is just painful ... your routine of 5 days a week knee pain exercise is totally amazing. It's strengthen my knees and legs and doesn't cause pain the next day. Love this!! You're amazing!!

Shellea my sister discovered your videos and shared it with me, she just turned 64 and I’ll be 62 in 11 days, we are both very active and in good health, however we both noticed that we started to have this nagging discomfort in our knees plus the vertigo issues that we both have, your balance routine really is awesome and all of your work outs are very gentle to our body parts. Great idea. Knee mobility and knee pain are mobility reducers. Many physical therapists and DC claim any pain in any join may also be caused by tightness (lack of mobility) in the joint above it or the joint below it. For example, with knee pain it could be caused by an old ankle or hip injury and the resulting tightness. May help to work on those joints too. To accomplish my most recent projects, I've been sitting a lot. Tested doing bridges before walking (and after) and bridges before walking definitely activates the glutes more for those of us who sit frequently.

Thank You so much for this video!!! I play tennis 4 -5 times a week and my knees are just starting to really feel it, England is in another lockdown now for 4 weeks so i have a chance to rest and strengthen them with these exercises...No scary squats and lunges required xxx

Thank you, Schellea. I am 65 and I do Yoga every day, I also do a second class of either kick boxing, Step, weights or a Pilates/calisthenics class before. My knees have never bothered me. But lately, every once in a while going up the stairs I feel something in my knees I never felt before. I will give your exercises a try, even though I do at least one of those moves at least once a week, except that first one. Thanks again.

This was great. Just finished the 14 Day Challenge and I loved it. Gonna start on another one tomorrow. Do you have a video for hip pain? I would love to do one. Thanks for your videos - so glad I found them!

👍😊Why have I not been doing these more? These are the same as prescribed after I tore the back of 1 knee, plus learned I had arthritis in BOTH knees. Now, both knees & everything they're attached to😊 are good. It's no random coincidence that in that time, I've been doing the workouts in here.The only time I "hear' from these knees is when the air is cold & damp. 👍😊👍😊👍😊Thank you and Yay, Schellea~👍😊👍😊👍😊

I had Bursitis and often I had to favor my knee that was weak but after doing these for a year or two, at least once a week or more, I have perfect knees and can even get in and out of a kayak easily and I am so grateful. Love your daily stretches too, these I try to do daily and wow they have been so very good. Thank you and hugs from the US!

I hope these exercises help with my arthritis. I discovered your channel and I love it. The walking exercises and the stretching exercises are my go to during quarantine.💕 I love that I don't have to spend hours on them,5 minutes stretch, 5 minutes thighs, 5 minutes arms, 5 minutes abs and 15 minutes walk, and I can go on with my life.😁 Thank you!

I love this video it's so beneficial for us all. I'm going to save it! I have alot of neurological nerve damage caused from a back operation ( L45 microdysectomy) and the consequence from this has also Left me in alot of pain. Thankyou so much for showing us this video xx
