The five minute in jar laundry soap concentrate. The recipe is below. Prepare to be amazed at the potency and how easy it is to make your own homemade and customizable laundry detergent.
Thanks! I enjoyed thoroughly teaching this five minute hands on method……though it takes two days. The five minutes hands-on to prepare time is my favorite! One jar and easy clean up! This is my favorite way to make laundry soap concentrate. Thanks for stopping by my channel!
Let's mind our matters when it comes to laundry soap and detergent! This stuff is perfecto! It gets out almost any stain, you only need one tablespoon per load-and, as the title of this video suggests, it only takes five minutes to make, with no cooking, grading, shaving, boiling…..multiple pots and pans involved! Plus, the ingredients are also dirt cheap! It equals out to just a few cents per load of laundry. We, as a family of 6, use it daily for everything from clothes to concentrated stain remover!
We have also used this in cloth diapering and gentle soap for infants….. and it does the job well every time. Make it yourself by watching this DIY tutorial! Let's make this 5-minute laundry concentrate in a jar together!

5-Minute Laundry Soap Recipe
🧴🧼🧴🧼🧴🧼🧴
2 Mason Jars (Quart size)
1 5oz bar Fels Naptha soap
1 cup 20 Mule Team Borax Powder
1 cup Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda (Not Baking Soda)
Boiling Water
*Essential Oils (Optional-we use tea tree and lavender, but it smells just great without)
*essential oils are much better on wool dryer balls in the dryer than in the laundry soap…..
//makes two quarts and 200+ loads of laundry (1TBL PER LOAD)

What is up with all the rude comments? You showed us how to make a concentrate laundry soap that works. This is wonderful! I have never seen it done in a jar before and I'm willing to give it a go. I may transfer it to plastic containers after it's done completely. I need my jars for canning purposes LOL even my half pints for jelly. Thanks goes out to your husband for his service, and thank you for this wonderful tutorial!❤ May God continue to bless you all! ✝️🙏

Homemade Laundry Detergent: 1 bar Fels Naptha Soap 1 box 20 Mule Team Borax 1 box Arm Hammer Super Washing Soda 1. Grate the Fels Naptha. 2. Put the Fels Naptha in a food processor to make it into a powder. 3. In a 5 gallon bucket, Combine the Fels Naptha powder with the 20 Mule Team Borax and with the Arm Hammer Super Washing Soda. 4. Mix thoroughly to make sure everything is combined. 5. Store in airtight container to prevent clumping. 6. Use 1/2 cup per load. Suggestions: Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the wash basket after you add your detergent and before you load your laundry. The baking soda softens the water and deodorizes your laundry. Add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the fabric softener dispenser or to the final rinse cycle. The white vinegar dissolves soap residue and softens your laundry. Use wool dryer balls in your dryer. The wool dryer balls fluffs your laundry and reduces drying time.

Yes it’s a whipped consistency in the mason jar. I’ve heard a lot of folks like the powdered version. Though I have not experimented it in my own laundry routine yet. I’ve heard good things. I may seek to try that, but I did get a New Washer and I’m not sure about the adding of it. Maybe in the future for us. I could shave the bars, yes. I’ve done that in the past and even cooked them in a sauce pan. Though when I found this recipe, I found it to be a little bit easier now that the blender gets it all mixed up and melted quickly. I do like the high volume 5-gal tub version also 😎❤️

There are 4 basic Musts when using homemade laundry detergent. They are: 1. Soft water (0 Grains Hardness or 0 Parts Per Million). 2. Warm wash water (90F-110F) & Hot wash water (120F-140F). Cold rinse water (60F-80F). 3. Extra Rinse Option or 2nd Rinse Option turned on. 4. Heavy Duty Cycle set to heaviest soil level/longest wash time.

I just wash and use again. The soap 🧼 is easily removed from the boards. The soap then is only used in the mason jars as well….those clean up amazing as well if they need to serve a different purpose next time (like canning or a drinking glass) just run though a good wash in the dishwasher or a regular hand wash with hot soapy water. 😎 thanks for watching!

Is it ok to use liquid castile soap or do I have to use the bar soap? 2 bars cost $12 and a 32oz bottle of the liquid is only $10. I'm a penny pincher from way back. Yet, if I have to use the bar soap I will.
@MindyourMatters
@MindyourMatters Год назад
You can use liquid Castile soap. I made this video a year + Ago and that is what I was used to. I would say maybe add the Castile liquid soap last? Just be sure you don’t make extra suds with the hot water. I’ll have to check on testing this. Hot water will be needed to help the “powders” dissolve into a more liquid form. Defiantly let me know @Texsis if you try it out. I’ve found cheap Castile soap bars but if liquid is what is more cost effective really I encourage you to do it

Fels-Naptha contains titanium oxide, so if you don't want chemicals, don't use that

What's the measurements for each product to make the soap?

A rounded tablespoon. I also use it to pretreat an area if needed on a garment. Thanks for stopping by and commenting

You sound like me with dryer balls and the vinegar lol. I can’t be around fels naphtha. Tried it lol. Smells too strong. Same with zote. So I never could make this but I make my own dishwasher stuff with borax, baking soda and salt. 💜💜💜💜

@MindyourMatters

Compared to the “clean” laundry soap It costs around $4 for 128ish loads for this and for the store bought is $25ish I like seventh generation and other “cleaner” store bought soaps….but homemade is better for the budget for sure. Thanks for that question. Feel free to do your own math with your store prices. They vary so much. 😅😎have a good day

Does this make a liquid soap? I made this and it turned out kind of solid. Wondering if I did something wrong.
@MindyourMatters

It should be whipped and creamy. Maybe add more water to your batch and re-whip. Let me know how it goes.

Too much soap for sizes of jar u needed a 5 gallon bucket
@MindyourMatters
@MindyourMatters Год назад
Right I used to do a 5gal bucket in the past, this was meant to cut out the water and make a concentrate that will make it easier and cleaner in the jar. How much do you use for a 5gal tub soap wise? Thanks for stopping by?

Oh! Pick a bar soap any soap? So if there's psoriasis with lots of flakes in the household can I use a cheap medicated sulfur soap bar? Or Dr. Bronner's? Or both? 🧼🤔💡

For your allergies and skin conditions please make the best choice. As you know your laundry soap even when washed out will be sitting on your clothing….which is on us all day! 😆 sounds like you have a good handle on what is best! I would personally use d
