I believe you have to hold it for a total of 20 seconds. You push the start button twice, then begin holding pedal down for at least 10 seconds, without removing your foot you then push the start button again for the screen to go off and you continue to hold it for another 10 seconds. You will hear a clicking reset noise from the top of your dash 2 min later if done correctly. It makes a incredible difference in my 2020 CLA45

Tried both methods and nothing. Mine is an e220d 2018 coupe. 190bhp model rwd. Diagnostics said transmission control module has an issue. Refuses to go into manual but then on some start ups it does, so fully confused

Guys thanks for your help, it has worked and it has also reverted back to half limp mode. Diagnostics said there’s a problem with transmission control module. Thinking to take out a warranty for the gearbox and get them to fix it but my oil change was not done on time. But again thanks for the help, I’m sure if it wasn’t for the other issue your solution would have worked!

My god don’t know what’s up but it’s gone back to normal again. But if I drive hard it goes back to limp. Diagnostics needed I think

Pretty sure you have to have all doors closed too.

Hey! Nice video! :) I have A200 with DCT. Usually it is lagging when i use it in traffic especially shifting 1. and 2. gears back and forth. What dou you think softwear updates on motor and transmission softwear ? Could help something ? Really annoying this lagging and also hear some noisy too. The other gears are okay. I experineced in Sport mode not doing it every time, strange.... Diesel engines do the same ? They have more basic power to roll over the gears. Thank you for your answer.

Will the reset help eliminating a jolt in a specific gear shift ? Or is it only shift point reset ?

I have a 2020 E200 petrol. same 9 speed gearbox as yours i believe. It is very slow to pick up the speed after a stop. Feels like slipping between gears or maybe it just doesn't engage quick enough. For diesel drivers , it's just like you have a DPF problem. The car just doesn't pull. Do any of you exeperience this and found the 'cure' ? Thanks

When is the last time you changed out the transmission fluid? Mine had a lot of metal and was brown. Fixed my issue.

@@MarcusLeonard307 Thank you for the suggestion. I'm more and more inclined to think that it will be a good idea to change the TF. It has 60K miles and many recommend to do it. I will do it as soon as possible even tho', for my particular car, i haven't read a single thread where someone got his problem fixed by doing that. It's actually a very common problem for this gearbox but in most cases it's a sensor that's at fault(from what i've read). Nevertheless i will try that too. Do you have the same car. If so, did you exeperience the same problem? Thanks again, good day!

@@civreiwey Oh lawd! 60k miles? yea, you're way over due for it. It may seem common because people aren't doing proper maintenance. My C43 requires a ATF change every 30k miles. The liquid was pretty metallic at 40k miles.😞I changed it this past week, and it wasn't hard for the most part, just needed all the tools. Good luck!

@@MarcusLeonard307 Just bought it 2 months ago with this mileage . New to Mercedes. I'm more of a Jag person but i said let's give this a try :). The difference between the two is colossal. I thought Mercedes is suppose to be close to unmatched but it's absolutely disgusting what they've done to this brand. I will book it for a change of TF next week. Thank you very much for letting me know. I've also done a reset and seems a little better. Anyway i'll let you know if the issue was the TF. If it was i owe you a few pints 😂
