Im 26 years old and ive been overthinking about going to the air force :/. I keep thinking about the negative like what if i fail bmt or what if i get injured...or what if i fail tech school bc of my adhd...i really want to do it but my own self is holding me back and it sucks....
Do not allow your mind to control the unknown. I get the fear of failing, but you have to change your mindset to more of a growth mindset instead of being controlled by something that hasn't even happened. BMT and tech school is set up so that you will pass. They spend a ton of money on people so they will make you pass. If it takes you a little longer by being held back, then that will be what it is. Don't allow the unknown control your decisions. If you want it badly, you will.
Typically your recruiter schedules you to fall into your tech school immediately after finishing BMT. There might be a possibly of being sent back home and sent back into tech school if you are guard/reserve but usually not likely.
