You should mention that despite extra-curriculars don't play any vital role to admission on canadian universities but have a great impact when considering for scholarships like leaster b.pearson. All in a nutshell, you can got into canadian universities without better ECA's but can't get scholarships without ECA's.
Even if you don't apply to Ivy's and other schools ,but in US there are also so many good schools in US and they are also too good like Ivy ....And then afterwards you can take admission for Masters at Ivy also. ..By the way yo do such a good work to appreciate others with your experience 👍🏻👍🏻 ..Bhaiya can you apply for it next year ...Do you have good chance and you will get in good University
Thanks a lot !! I agree with your point but (mostly) only top universities offer 100% scholarships to international students and that's why I applied to them. I am thinking to apply this year as well, let's see how it turns out.
In Nigeria our courses are taken a little bit differently. We take subjects rather. So I'm a bit confused in filling the course section in the common app?

Good that you reached out 😁 I would suggest you to FOCUS yourself and start writing your essays for top universities, if you haven't started them. 1. Make sure you've registered on the Common App. 2. Filled all the basic details. 3. Started contacting your teachers and counselor for LOR (letter of recommendation). 4. If you're applying for financial aid, you'll need to fill the CSS Profile. 5. For some universities, you'll need to submit your financial documents through IDOC. I think they'd be more interested in whether you had math in your senior year of high school. Yes, having coding knowledge or taking cs courses in high school does help, but they look at your high school subjects esp maths, physics and chemistry and your performance in them.

All these top US unis have around $75-80 application fees, how are we supposed to afford that if we're applying to 10+ unis, that will be like $800-1,000 for applications only. I mean how did you afford to pay all those application fees? Is there any way or trick to pay less or not pay at all?

I did not pay the application fee of a single university I applied to, thanks to the common app fee waiver where if you can't afford to pay the application fee and meet some of their requirements, Common App covers the application fee. Hey Mate, thanks for your comment. I applied to U of T as it offers the Lester B. Pearson scholarship whereas Uwaterloo doesn't offer any full scholarship to international students. Though UBC also offers full scholarship, I didn't feel like applying there.

I don't know if you can do that, but you can/ should start preparing for your college application in grade 11th and once the common app opens their application for your grade 12th year, complete the application and submit.
