Yep! I had the same thought. Mine was nearly cut off but they didnt fully get through on the side near the engine but they did cut through my o2 sensor wires and fully through the side closer to the exhaust. CAT cover would be the next mod I guess lol
Bend Oregon > Love my my 2006 CRV, data proves one of the most long lasting and dependable AWDs going, great gas mileage, tons of space, part availability and affordability seals the deal for me. My CRV has been put to the test here in Central Oregon's 'all winter' icy/ snow driving conditions. Have never had any repairs to date @ 150,000, Living out of town on occasion having to break trail to the main road with all season radials. Great standard ground clearance keeps me going. A proper off road machine as mentioned, would up a step up to a Xterra bigger engine etc. however loosing all the benefits the affordable CRV offers, plus CRVs are known for high miles and keep on going like Toyotas. A moderate 1.5 lift with bigger tires looks great, skip the spacers for unnecessary wear and tear. The red is sharp looking and not liking the new trend idea of flat matt colors. As a long term owner review on Honda CRVs, it is a great buy and highly recommend. Cheers
learn about leverage...wheel spacers make wheel bearings, bushings, struts, differentials and other parts wear out faster. I don't mind a slight lift but the tires sticking out past the fenders and tiny mud flaps not extending toward the edge of them looks stupid. Did you recalibrate your speedo/odo or just live with it way off?
Thanks for the video! It would be really nice to have a list of mods in the description. If I understand correctly, you has 1 inch wheel spacers and a 1.5 inch lift kit, in order to achieve the look?
Dude.. What? I went to a salvage yard, and got a full size brush guard (protester catcher) roof rack, tow hitch, tail light yards, and a full drivers side door for about $200..
My car has given up the goose so my mother in-law has given me her 04 CR-V. Was a bit apprehensive with it's age etc but DAMN, I absolutely love it!!!! Comfortable, economical, reliable..... Probably the best AWD ever made for the price point!
Really liking this. About to get one. Wasn’t sure what year it was because I haven’t been in it yet. The rear side window has same angle and passenger windows are the same as well. Was thinking 2” lift in my head but the 1.5 looks nice with the wheel tire combo. Checks out to 28.9” on the tires you have. Really like this CRV. It’s Goldilocks perfect. 👊
Ive seenone simular to yours and it was painted a matt ( flat ) green. It looked like a proper off road machine. The work was well executed and looked the part.
I had a chance to buy a gold crv with 5 speed all wheel drive an let it go because it was obvious from pics it was in a accident. However I own a crv an oh my god what a awesome car. It’s like so easy to work on for the most part
Started getting a VSA light and check engine light after I put 215 70 16 tires on. I assume this is common. Same happened to my friend that did the same tire size on his crv he started getting same lights.
i have the same color and trim. horrible in my opinoin but now i just have to del with it. i hate the red and black plastic color. i had an SE before with all matcing color, loved it. im doing some to the V too. but i would recommend stay away from cheap leds, they seems good at 1st then most of the start leaking water in, since the seals are not good enough. spend extra on that.
yo bro switch the k24 head with the k20 head and it will breath better and it will most likely put you 200hp vs 160hp and you can go with an after market intake (Skunk 2) headers and exhaust
Do you need roof rack bars if u want to install a roof rack? Might sound like a dumb question But I’m curious ! Thanks. Also how hard was it to lift the vehicle?
Bigger wheels means more brake component wear. So keep that in mind with all of your wheel upgrades. If diameter increase isn't an option, definitely invest in higher quality pads and rotors. And if lifting it up. Don't forget to get extended lines that may be stretched with the extra travel.
Nice look. I have a 05 CRV. The last 4 yrs. I've been delivering newspapers and I have put over 200'000 miles on my vehicle. It's a very sturdy and dependable vehicle. So maybe it's to many miles to put extra money into my CRV. Thanks for the great ideals.
The tires look awesome for sure but the trade-offs aren't working worth it. Dude love the mods! The spacers, bigger tires and the lift kit looks so badass! This is exactly what I want. Did you install the lift kit yourself? Unfortunately l don't think i would be able to
I have a 03 AWD 5spd love this li’l suv. I installed a towing rack not for towing anything but for a bike rack or a basket or whatever else not too heavy
Putting the larger tires does look a lot better, but doesn't it raise the gearing of every gear on the car? - how does that effect the way it drives and fuel economy etc?
I put 30" tires on mine. Dropped the mpg to 20 city and 23 highway. More road noise, a little more sluggish, but I like the tires. It was well worth it.
Does anyone know of any led headlights for these CR-Vs? I’ve looked forever and it seems that due to the design of the h1 bulbs, I can’t find any that would work with modding the housing (which I’d like to not do)
Why on earth would you want to added more weights to get bad mpg & a harsh rides? This CRV (Honda's first gas guzzler) get very lousy gas mileages. Barely hits over 21 mpg for a tiny vehicle.
@@zaks9919 I was referring to 21 city mpg all tuned up. Honda's first popular lousy MPG because kid like these cheap gas guzzler. You and many have been brainwashed to think highway MPG. If a vehicle & tiny can't perform better than 30 city mpg. Then it's a gas guzzler.
Thinking smashing a crv Flat with a D9 is in order..Or Deposit one in the water at the boat launch c how long it keeps running😂 now that would make a funny video.
I've done most of these mods.. & would never consider these super simple mods worth a video. I added offroad lights to the rear bumper of my rd1 to help in low light conditions & helping work in the dark. LOVED IT. but later figures out you can mod them to the rear window (way cooler) also chopping the front bumper to add foglights or off road lights was awesome. Would recommend too
