They are 5 months old..wow how time flies! I did not make a fancy video of the monthly update of the Koi Marble juvenile betta fish but maybe I will make one sometime this week. Instead here is an update on all of the fry..but and small. It is crazy how some have grown so HUGE but others remained so tiny.

Hi Creative Pet Keeping! I love what you are doing! I think Mr. Bubbles has the perfect home for his needs. He reminds me of one of my bettas! I had mine alone in a ten gallon, but he just sat in the gravel and never liked to swim much. I moved him to a small (small as in smaller than 10 gallons) aquaponics tank and he's much happier! He sits in his cave and watches me all day!

Really love the one with a lot of red and really hope I can get 2 couple pairs and decided that I no longer need them to be experienced couple breeders. Just 2 couples ESP the one with most red Koi betta you first showed. Really hope to hear from you soon, Sweetie. Take care and ＧＯＤ bless🌺

Mine wouldn't touch it. You NEED to have vinegar eels. Or get lucky and have some small organisms in your tank. Then you need to get some brine shrimp. Hope your spawn goes well! :D

Did you read the IBC (international Betta Congress) standard? It will help you to decide which ones you should keep and breed. Also if you keep any cellos to spawn than the offspring may come out with butterfly marking.

You have the neatest most well kept setup. I like the jars and lights. I didnt know koi bettas existed. I have always felt bad for bettas sitting in stores, so it is nice to see them being spoiled. Thanks for taking the time to share them with us. When you figure out the confused female let me know how you did it. :) That would be priceless info.

To check if male or female, shine a flashlight through one side of their body. -outside of tank of course haha- if there's a sideways triangle, it's female! I'm sure there's better examples out there.. 😅 Id love one for a guppy community tank! Or maybe a planted all to itself. We will have to see if my mom will let me. Keep up the great work! I love how relaxed you are! Even though you're gonna give up some of your babies. Makes it nice to watch the videos.

Omg I'm late! I left my iPad alone for 30 mins and I didn't realize you uploaded!! Your bettas are so pretty!! I have a sick platy,she has ick.She got in a fight at the pet store and now she has ick! She is so sick that she is letting the filter suck her!! I have just been so busy that I haven't been able to get her medication! But don't worry I will get her medicine soon! Hopefully she makes it!

Amazing Jenny raising your temp will help as well. 86 degrees is when they/ich can't reproduce and start dying.

Amazing Jenny If you don't have any other fish than live bears and don't care about your plants you could but a little salt in there water. it will kill your plants but help.

I have a couple betta girls (one especially) that prefer the bottom - the other 4 like the mid /top range of the tank. Nothing wrong with the bottom dwellers, they just like swimming among the lower plants :)

Oh my, they are gorgeous! Your videos made me fall in love with plakat koi bettas. I already have a female koi plakat and now am considering getting a nice koi plakat male. Kasia, what happened to your betta sorority from 2016? Did they all die from age or sickness? If I may ask? I watched and enjoyed a lot of your vlogs about sorority but never found a one that explains how it ended. I keep a sorority for almost a year and absolutely love it and all my girls-bettas. They are the best and brightest fishesa and so joyful to watch.

Since so many koi bettas get too many colors as they marble, I wonder if it would be worth it to keep a cellophane to breed more "white" into them?

Hi! You probably get a ton of comments but i'm seeking your advice since you're also a beginner. I'm planning to breed a pair of betta and I want to be fully prepared, I was wondering how much baby brine shrimp you recommend buying? I'm so paranoid of running out of fry food so what other meals do you suggest and what did you personally feed your fry for their entire lifespan up until they readily eat normal adult betta food (like frozen bloodworms, flakes, pellets, etc)? Thanks in advance, really beautiful fish!

So funny story... my grandma has been cleaning and storing jars for years now. Back in the day ppl used to preserve and pickle stuff..so it made sense to keep jars. So she has been keeping all these jars but we never used them for anything..until I found them and figured they would be perfect for my bettas. It was fate hehe

Why is marbling speed a factor for your breeding? Like, why don't you like it when they marble out fast? Whats the difference?

Marbles change very randomly..but over time some breeders have been stabilizing some of the strains so they hold the koi color longer. The male that is marbling past with turn solid color very soon like his father who looks all black/blue now. I want more koi like their mom..who is changing very slowly and is retaining her koi pattern very well. Ideally ..the long term goal is fish that stay Koi forever.

They grow up so fast xD. Btw my baby koi bettas are almost all dead cause the male ate most of them there are currently 5 of roughly a spawn of 200 xD they are starting to swim a bit tho.

Ermm... bad news im down to one that has been really really fighting for survival from the big evil dad xD and i thought there where none left so i removed everything (including the bubble nest) and before i emptied it i checked one last time and there it was the last betta fry. so im hoping it lives because its not fully free swimming yet :/ and i have no clue on how to make tiny little bubles like a betta soo.. rough breeding start for me uggh xD

Give your male up to 4 spawns. Sometimes if they're new to breeding they take awhile to get the hang of things. If he still eats after that you may have to artificially hatch them.

Usually, they will start to fight eventually as they grow up. Unless they grow up in a huge tank..maybe it might work.. but I'm not sure

I bought a "baby Betta" from petsmart and multiple fish experts on forums told me he was about 4-5 months old but he's 1/3 of the size of these fish. Hmm. I guess they were all wrong.

I'm trying to get back my love for bettas again. I had 2 pet bettas in seperate tanks (30L each). One died last week and i have no idea why, 30 mins later two of my other fish died (two ancistrus) Nothing was wrong with the water quality, no new introductions or new food. It really discouraged me. I really wanted to just quit the hobby and stick to dry land animals. Your vlogs really keep me going honestly.

Blue tends to spread on their body and covers the red over time and then they don't look like Koi anymore.

They start out in a 5 gallon tank as babies ..then I moved them to a grow out 20 gallon..and now the last two months of their growth they spent in the grow out jars (as some are starting to fight) and then I will sell them to new homes where hopefully they will have their very own fish tanks ^_^ The jars are a temporary set up.

Creative Pet Keeping If they're true albinos you should contact Gianne of Inglorious Bettas about how to find out if they're blind. There's a theory that albino bettas are blind.
