Yes, I am in nursing school. I start my 2nd semester Jan.12, 2024. In our Health Assessment class, definitely had to record myself doing Head to Toe Assessment! It is alot!
I’m interested in the handoff reports ❤ I graduate in December, gotta prep for NCCLEX any tips? Also did you feel prepared to be a nurse when you graduated, cuz it’s getting close and I feel like I’m still brand new to the game LoLs were you a CNA or LPN before?
Hii! I made a whole video on my page about NCLEX prep, check it out it’s very helpful! I was a PCA and NA before but not CNA/LPN but I did similar jobs to a CNA. Also I did not feel prepared at all to be a nurse but that’s why I went with a residency program! It helps me learn along side a more experienced nurse. I’ve been a nurse for about 7 months now and I’m still not 100% confident but I’m definitely wayyy more confident than when I first started! It’s all a learning curve and you’ll get the hang of it, hope this helps
Your tele background is great because you can recognize abnormal EKG’s! I would say brush up on ekg, lab values, putting in iv’s, pressure injury’s, sedatives, blood pressure meds, and look into ACLS! That would help a lot
Hey! Before I went to the ICU I started on the Telemetry floor and there I was given 5,6 even 7 patient at times! In the ICU I only ever had 2 patients MAX!
